Problem list with the new ps3 2010 version, any answers?

Got my new version of pro and it's making me pull my hair out a bit, if anyone has got any answers to this let me know.

Online Competition Entry:

I keep trying to enter Konami cups at different times of the day, even if the cup has 0 entrants it never lets me enter, always saying 'entries are now closed'

Has anyone managed to play one yet?

Corners

You can no longer drive a fast corner in, I use to be able to whip them in fast with certain players but now it floats them in. Anyone know how?

Button delay on passing

I doubt this can be solved but I press pass or shoot and it takes an age for the player to draw his leg back and shoot by which time the ball has been taken off him. Unbareable.

Chip Through ball is almost deliberately inaccurate by a few yards.

Every through ball seems like its misguilded on purpose even if i'm in acres of space. Doing my head in. I'm using long pass instead of chipped through ball now.

Pansy passes

You can see your player, no one else around and you play a pansy pass which only gets half way. Or even worse you play a pansy pass to no one even though you aimed at a player.

Still playing players with lag

There should be a option not to play someone with a shit connection. If i see a red light flicking for the opponent I know that its going to be laggy. They should automatically disconnect me from these people.

Defenders faster than forwards.

In what world can Walcott get the ball in front of a defender and have the defender catch up. In fact most forwards cant keep in front of defenders in the game even if they have a head start. Ridiculous.

You Still Cant control the running player on a through ball!

I have no idea why they havent sorted this out yet but when i play a through ball to a player he can only run in a robotic straight line, even if the ball takes a deflection my player will continue on the straight line. absolutely stupid.

Insanely good goal keepers at short range

I had several repeated shots in the 6 yard box including rebounds and the keeper parried all of them.

Messi is faster than Walcott

I know he's on the front cover but come on.

Can you save formation?

I'm fed up of having to re-do my formation every online match. Is there a way to save it?

No community goal gallery?

How is there still not a way to upload your goals to a Youtube style website and get them rated by people?

Online- have tried to entry but can't. No idea.

Corners- I have no trouble, bit more power than last year and up. Simple.

Button delay- players need to be in the proper body position. In real football players can't just shoot from wherever they want. It takes time getting used to it but it's realistic.

Passing- there is a real issue with through balls. Don't use them is my advice. Just use normal pass and hold it longer for throughballs. Pansy passes should not happen if you use the right power.

Lag/red connection- as long as your connection is good it shouldn't matter. I like it when people have red connections. Coz they will either cut out giving me a win or I will dominate with my good connection.

Saves- you can save your formation and use it online. Go to edit mode and change a formation to how you want it with tactics etc. Then go to data management, copy the formation to a free slot and save. Easy. Takes 2 seconds everytime you now go online. Only thing it doesn't save is which players play where.

Defenders/messi- all to quick, not real to life and a poor effort like keepers, ai and the bloody refs. Don't get me started on them. PATCH please.

just had another long few games

Another problem is the player who you play the through ball to doesn't run at full pace either before the ball gets to him or once in control meaning defenders catch up, i got played through in about a mile of space and my players doing some wierd mini gallop before running.

you can't put power on normal passes can you?

button delay is NOT realistic, its a flaw. I press the button and it takes ages to react, nothing to do with body position, I can be facing a player but the delay between my finger hitting the button and the player drawing his leg back is an eternity.

The red light DOES affect me and the players stutter. It should be like when you play online, if you have a higher latency then your bullets etc hit the player quicker. Same principle should happen in pro.

You are right about the players runs, they are terrible. I never use through pass and you can put power on normal pass. If you hold it down for ages it misses out the nearest man and goes to the next. Now im not suggesting you try that but what i am saying is just press a little harder/longer. Works for me.

Whilst i agree about the button delay being a flaw, body position really helps which is why i say its more realistic. There is nothing worse than being in a tight game and pressing shoot in close for the winner and the player takes the extra touch and screws it up. I can live with it though, timing and practice.

I dont know why you struggle online against red light coz i dont. Are you using a wireless or wired connection coz wired improves the game 10 fold. Never had a single problem since i switched to wired.

i agree with the button delay i had berbatov with a clear shot all his feet movements were bang on time i even replayed the scene and he jus didnt want to shoot it was liek almost 2 seconds after i pressed it that he tried to and by that time of course its too little too late and he got tackled and cost me the game it needs to be more responsive

Yeah cheers for the formation tip, I always thought it was data management but I was a bit baffled looking at it.

Had no idea about the wired thing! gonna try that now.

oh by the way, listen out with Mark Lawresons commentary, he has a facination with the number 3!

Sad they didn't add much new commentary from 2009, it's pretty woeful. I'm gonna switch languages so theres a bit of passion.

Another problem is when you play a pass back to your keeper at pace and charge up the long pass bar, you expect him to launch it but randomly he'll slide tackle the ball or chip pass it to no one.

Also when two player are standing waiting for a ball to drop, you can't move your player around to get in front, they seem to do some stupid hug and you cant do anything

Still cant enter a comp. Im sure I must be missing something. To be honest its probably a good thing as being knocked out early doors would hurt the old pride.

I have not noticed the love for “3” but I will keep an ear on that. I tend to switch off when they talk. The commentary on FIFA is so good but I hate the gameplay. Christ it cant be too hard to sort.
Fifa presentation + PES gameplay = greatest game ever made.

The pass back can be terrible. Playing online I was 1-1 with a very good player with 15 minutes to go. I had decided to shut up shop and take the draw. Passed back to the keeper and pressed O (PS3) expecting the bar to go up and the ball to go long. What I got was a slide from the keeper into the path of Torres who rounds the keeper and WALKS it in.
I probably deserved to lose but had worked so hard for a draw. LIVID.

All I can say about the player movement is try R2 and move the player. It sometimes works but I have not mastered it yet. I still lose most 50/50 balls and headers.

You know what though I can cope with all the issues raised if Konami would sort the Refs out. Losing my rag. About 200 games on and off line and still not had a single penalty. Unbelievable that in 2009 they cant sort this simple issue. I might be overreacting but this ruins PES 2010 for me.
