problem playing game

and i have a problem...PES5 just isnt working played it this morning fine stopped was looking at this site went back on to start a new cup in full screen mode and at the formation screen it freezes and goes into not responding mode.

i started a friendly which worked fine but when i quit the friendly the 'Quit to mode select menu' button read ' uit to mode select menu' and the next screen, 'play again ith different teams.

whats happening!!!? can someone help me please?

also tried it in windowed mode the same thing happens. now it wont even let me start a friendly :-(

I'm with this guy.

Game was playing fine and had done since I brought it.

Went into network and it wouldn't connect (it's usually slow anyway). Tried 3 or 4 times as I had a mate waiting for a game. Just went back to the UDP5730 problem.

Exited, checked my port settings and all was well.

Restarted the game, into network and it connected fine. Started a match and it locked up completely about 2 or 3 minutes in. Had to reboot. Restarted PES5, back into network, connected, started a match, froze a minute or so into the match.

Rebooted, restarted, started playing an offline match. Froze. Rebooted, went into window mode (so I didn't have to keep rebooting), went through it all again, offline match... froze.

It seems to freeze quicker if I choose Man United (go figure!), but the best I've had out of the game is an entire 5 min half when it crashed at the start of the second half. I've reinstalled it, cleaned the registry, virus scanned, trojan scanned... everything I can think of and more than once. Still the same.

The game worked absolutely fine one minute and then seems completely fekked for no good reason. No new programs installed that could conflict and no new hardware.

ANY help would be very gratefully received. I'm getting withdrawa ls!

I'm pretty sure this might have been caused by the joypad. One of the analogue sticks was jammed over due to the pad repeatedly hitting the wall at times of emotional stress *coughs*

The pads knackered but when I went into the game and took all the controls off of the stick the game played fine.

New pad then... All that whining and it was the pad.

Argh!

i found the problem on the internet. clear replays and stuff out of folder 1 put them into a diff folder worked fine after tht. apparently too much round the option file in folder 1 stops it working
