problems with WE7!! open your eyes

I think this game [WE7] is a big step backward from WE6 and it was rushed into the market cos it is getting very popular and the developers are getting very greedy. My reasons are below:
[1] The hand balls that were put in the game are a big joke, i have actually had my defender unmarked and facing my keeper and voila! he suddenly gets called for a hand ball [outside the box with no pressure fom anyone whatsoever]. Is that realistic??
[2]There seems to be no particular way to score, if you shoot on goal and score, and then try it the same way next time; the shot may just decide to miss the goal entirely even though u scored the same way the last time u had the exact same chance in the exact position.
[3] They make it seem that the AI is more intelligent , but in reality they [konami] have actually made your players less intelligent in order for the game to look harder. For instance u try to make a short pass to your teamate right in front of u, and he passes it right to the AI's player for no reason at all. Sometimes u try to make a simple pass to your CF in the penalty area, and the pass goes way back to your central defender in the middle of the field [can u explain that?]
[4] Also the tackling in this game is woeful, if your CB is running side by side with the AI's attacker there sems to b no way to actually get the ball from him except bringing him down [outside the box if u are lucky]. and some time if u use the x button to make a tackle and you get the ball, you player just stumbles and the AI gets the ball back like it was glued to his foot. Whats realistic about that?
There are just too many flaws witht his game, and i just think the developers rushed this game cos its getting much attention. I would have preffered to stick with WE6 until they brought out a game that they actually spent enough time with b4 they put it out there.
The sad thing is that some of you have actually accepted all these flaws as konami trying to make the game "realistic" but they have actually put out a very badly written game for u to buy.

i agree there are some flaws, but they are not as major as alawode makes them sound. it is annoying that it is a bitch to tackle the cpu when you are alongside them cos you just sorta lean on them. i dont like the fact that you cant dribble around more than one person without the cpu pushing you over. also shevchenko cant outrun metzelder! how realistic is that?

I would agree about the handball thing as there is a wild lot of them, perhaps now and again would be ok but when you get 6 or 7 per game it does get bloody tedious. As for everything else I just think it's just you having a tantrum. It's frustrating when you can't play it properly but if it's too hard the new fifa game will be out soon so you'll be able to walk the ball into the net then.

well, take a ball down your local park, and take five shots from the same place. if u hit the same spot every time, youre a robot.

Scoring seems random but it really isint. The ball has it's own complex physics assingned to it. If you take shots facing straight at the goal while not moving the ball is always accurate but it's when you start performing running shots, turn-around shots, volleys and one-touch shots that you will miss...even the best players cannot always get the perfect strike on a ball moving at them at high speeds and awkward angles.

1) Have you also noticed that there are no handballs in the box by you or the CPU's defenders.

2) Scoring is harder from outside. But if you are in the box just shoot low as soon as the goalie is close to you.

3) The only thing hard about 5 stars is that the speed of your players are slowed down. If you play on 3 or 4 stars you will see fast players run faster than slow players i.e if you have babangida and they have figo you can easily catch up with figo, but on 5 stars it takes ages for your player to catch up with him.

Also the passing for your players are made worse as soon as you get in the box. You can have a player like figo who passes to a layer who is 3 yards away yet the ball is passed so slow, not only that the player will just stand there.

4) A lot of problems are also present in PES2 but because no one wants to mention or talk about , why should konami fix it. If you read all the reviews of the game hardly any mention the problems with the game. You can imagine the meeting for PES3 we can either fix the problems or add a pleyer with wavy hair.

5) My main problems are:

. Clearing is scripted to pass to the nearest cpu player. No matter where i push my joystick the ball will always go towards the cpu player.
. The players don't seem to follow your formation as strict as before. I often see my winger runing into the centre or my striker running to the opposite of the pitch.
. It sometimes takes two presses of the pass button to get the player to pass (I have tried 3 joysticks and the same thing always happens)
. The response of players to looses balls is still poor. They will still stand and look into space.

If you have a dual analog pad you can press R3 to pass soft or hard for how long you hold it. That will allow you to clear the ball farther and pass it faster/harder.
The pass button always works the first time for me.
If the goalie is close to you then he has already made a mistake by being drawn out too far or it's 1vs1 and he has to come out. You could just as easily chip it as shoot low. That's realistic.

Or alternatively you could just try passing to someone on your team instead of blindly hitting the ball forward. Use the radar to spot your players or failing that just lump it up the pitch or out of play. Passing in the new game is certainly harder as all passes have to be spot on or the other team will nab the ball off you.

Yes, definately there are penalties for handball, I haven´t seen anyone but some people told they had. I think they´re very rare.

I JUST saw the CPU called for a handball in my box after a rebound off my GK. It does happen and it's pretty cool but it can be annoying when its on you.

i agree with you half heartedly, abt the hand balls i think there are too much too but it was meant to improve realistic -ness in the game. i once bitched alot abt the game; cant score, opp too good, opp dribbles whole damn team, free kicks are hard to score. but forturnately i realised my mistake(s) or shd i say i realise how foolish i was. first i played it for only a month or so which is quite short considering i play it mostly on wkends since i got sch, so i wasnt a master at it(we6 ,we6fe too, the most i can cope with is 3 stars,i aint good but i know everyday i am improving bit by bit, u may not notice it . i used to play gung ho.
real crazy and i sprinted for every ball in the game.after much surfing of the forums here , the vets and daddys of this game(s) have literally changed my mind set.my style of play now is kinda cautious but i am sometimes unable to resist my temptation of sprintting in close spaces.u do support a respective team in a league rite maybe epl , spl, bundesliga or la liga.u watch how they play, cautious , ball possession, any chance to exploit the defnce and they take it , u shd take risk too like even though u know the ball will get cut out by the def, mayb ur man will get to it? i aint trying to act smart or boast. you
