Zygalski...when do you have to?...you don't have to stop improving them...but there's a limit time for improving them, until that time you can improve your player as better as you want...depending on how many points you get from each game

I think he meant whether there was a set time limit, or certain point in the season, where you can no longer improve them.

if that is the question...i'm sorry but i don't have the answer...in the beginning of the season i bought two promising players...in the end of that season one of them was still abled to improve but the other wasn't...pretty weird
but that's a good question....how much time do we have to improve the promising players?anyone...

You can buy pp's whenever you can buy normal players. From the mo they plop into your squad they will start earning points to allocate to their stats for every fixture week that goes by. So if buy them for the end/start of the season and don't play any friendlies (or don't play them) you will 10pts per week.

Otherwise you gain pts based on their performace and the team's result. Not quite sure how this works but I think it is proportionate according to position. So CFs get more points than GK. But exactly how it works I don't know. I do know that my CF got lots more points when he scored. But my GK did not seem to get extra for clean sheets???

I tried a DF as CF and he got extra points for scoring... so who knows!!!

I think it's about 15-20 games (I haven't counted exactly)... but I haven't seen players bought at the same time finishing at diff times!!!!

those 2 pp's that i bought were both side midfielders and they got extra points for assists...at the end of the season i had a "luis figo" on the right and a "ryan giggs" on the left...pretty cool ;)

i got piliniak and hes a top notch striker now

i'm not sure how many games he got to improve, but you definately get more points per your performance

it was to the point where i'd feed him the whole game and try and get him a couple goals for the extra points :D

I always gave my pp's the penalties. Normally if shoot down the middle, 99% of the time you will score. GFK, I will try and look into your problem over the next few days

Ok... I managed to play 6 games last night having bought Petipa and all seems fine. However, I also bought the GK Leibniz and can't get him over say 17 pts a game. Tried clean sheets, letting one in, playing as an outfield! Will also try him scoring a pen but who knows!!!!

Ok peeps heres what you do when you get a promising player:

Buy Pilliniak.
play him from the off
play him up front (even though he does the least damage there he won't cost you the game either)
play him for the full game
don't let him rest until he stops developing
use him to take corners (freekicks as well if you wan't, not mandatory)
try and get him to score. its lke 8 points a goal if he scores
first 10 points you get use on stamina. then the next 2 sets of points, put on shooting power and accuracy. Then technique and then whatever way you want after that.

Only substitute him if he has scored.

By the time he stops growing he should be the best striker in the game. :D

Repeat process for any other player. remember, if you buy a goalie or any position, stick him up front. that way he will get more points just for being up front. If they score you get even more points and then you will have a better player.

i think the promising players' development time is influenced by a combination of three factors:

- individual match rating that the player receives at the end of each match
- your team's performance
- amount of game time the player receives
- the level of competition they're facing

U R right

I tell you a secret: after U buy a promising players ,if he develop not good enough ,fire him, buy him again, U will find his basic skill increase a bit and his price is higher

that mean he is easy to growing next time ;)

In transfer menu -> 'search by team' -> then press the R1 or L1 once or twice -> the Edit player "team" should be visible, simply press your d-pad twice to the right, 'Promising Players' - voila! Browse until you find one you like and apply transfer.. (I'd recommend Piliniak)

Ok... I bought Petipa (and the sh*thead Leibniz) and have played 9/10 games with them and I am still bumping up their stats so I honestly don't know, GFK :-(

Gollan, go to where you normally buy players and it's pg 3 (oo-er!) under the "Growth" section.
