PS2 controller Getting BATTERED!

Is it me, or when playing pro evo, your ps2 controller gets knackered very easily?

Especially my left analogue stick, as i use it to control the movement of the players.


i've gone through 2 in the last 6months!

ive nackered the l2 button, i have to pause the game to unstick it but im gona spend my money on a ps3 instead of a controler for a few months

na i dont dont ave a problem with the buttons just have a huge a huge problem with getting frustrated when i lose or something and throwing the pad against the wall, gone through 7 this year so far! think i might ave anger problems come to think of it :angry:

Yep.. the PS2 controller is imo very easily to break

The shoulder buttons break easily so my sister bought me a shitty Sponge Bob Square pants controller!!! Does the job!

I once managed to break a PS2 Controller in half with my bare hands just out of frustration after missing one of those 100% chances (although i have to admit the controller was already cracked because of a few ill-tempered throws across the room...). I since bought a couple of 5$ replica controllers on eBay which makes destroying them much less painful (at least for my bank account) ;-)
But I have to agree that under normal circumstances i.e. me not shattering the thing, the L1/L2 buttons tend to suffer very quickly.

As for me, I don't want to be buying new ones all the time, so I try not to lob them when the game pisses me off. Instead, I punch or kick the nearest thing to me, often with painful results which makes me even more angry!

My R2 button has been missing for over a year. Still works tho, just have to press the plastic bit inside.
I actually prefer it that way now, if I'm going to play Pro round someones house I take my fucked up controller with me.

ya i tried changing to hitting things once i had to start using the crappy PS1 pad but I ended up putting my fist trough the wall! fecking dry wall ha guess theres no solution to the Pro Ev influenced rage.

My controllers all naturally seem to fuck up. Every single PS2 control pad that I've owned since they have been released have broke or had faults. I've had about 5, maybe 6 in total. Its always the god damn analog sticks that naturally screw up, they have a mind of their own. Happens all the time, they will cause me completely mess up free-kicks, corners and general moving on the Menu's.

Has anyone else had this bastard trouble ?

hell yer, however it aint the pads in my opinion its the game, the amount of times ive gone clean through on goal and tapped the shoot button three four times and bugger alls happened that and trying to pass forward and it going in a completely different direction. However i have been through about 4 different pads including the origninal PS1 ann controller and i found that to be the best, all the PS2 ones ive had problems with the sticks not centering properly and trying to go in different directions.

Oh and its good to know im not the only one who hits out when the game pisses you off im a confessed controller thrower, abuse shouting and punch throwing PES fan, although a year ago i punch the sofa on a cross beam and cracked two of my fingers so id stick to punching things you know are definatly soft

Yep, my controllers are broken, too. The R1 button is loose, and sometimes when I press it, it just falls out. The R2 button is sticky, so tricks just don't work with it. It's really annoying, PS2 controllers are shoddy.
