ah rite. Yeah i promise you the demo is out, my bro wudn'y lie to me! He left 4 work b4 me and checked on the way, if it wasn't out i was going to look near my work, and central london usually gets mags first, but he phoned to say he has it. Just look around and ur certain to get it 2day.

Just had 3 games on it with my mate.
First thing i noticed was how much slower it is than PES4. The players miscontrol it alot too and knock it too far when dribbling and do alot of loose passes but hey that makes it more realistic.
The shooting is ALOT better.
Scored a screamer with ronaldo and came very close with a beckham long ranger.
ive read alot about the referees blowing too much? from the games ive played i think theyve been quite lenient in same cases
its gonna take a bit of getting used to tho i can tell, but its been like that with every Pro for me since 2, i always preferred the predecessors at first

I got the demo today in the ps2 official mag with Resi 4 on the cover (that was awsome game on the game cube , I wonder how much worse the graphics will be on ps2?).
Anyways, I've not played WE9 so I can only compare the demo to PES4. I've played for a couple of hours and it seems like a hell of a game. Here are a few quick impressions (I guess they go in this thread not the PES5 impressions thread?)
I haven't got to grips with the defending yet, it seems a lot harder than PES4 (although I think it got a lot easier for pes4 compared to pes3 so maybe now is just a redress) but I love the feeling of solididty when the defender is wrestling the foward.
I have heard a lot about the dribbling being a lot harder on WE9 but on the PES5 demo, if anything it seems easier than PES4: having the side step on the the direction pad rather than using the R2 button makes it much easier to get round a defender and then get away using R1 dash.
The R2 shot is maybe also a little too easy to score with - it seems to be a bit of a sweet spot and lets you more often than not drill an unsaveable shot across the keeper into the far bottom corner.
I'll have to play a lot more to form my impressions about the passing.
I have to say that I feel a bit pissed now that I bought the magazine. I Love the PES5 demo and there is a good Soul Calibur 3 demo in there as as well but considering the game is out in 2 weeks I wouldn't really say splashing out £5.99 on the mag was that wise..
