I bought the ps2 to PC pad adapter from Play and I have to have 2 pads pluged in, both with the lights on, before I start the game, to get it to work properly.
Whether this will help or not I dont know.

Hey notorious, I think you must go to Control Panel, then click in Game Controllers (icon with gamepad) and click Remove (never tried it, but makes sense).
As for fixing...have you tried to calibrate it?Go into Control Panel, Game Controllers, then click Properties and a new window will pop-up with 2 tabs on top: Settings | Test. Go to Settings and click Calibrate... then just follow the steps.
Don't get all jumpy because I never had that problem, so I don't know if it will work, but hoping so :)
If that doesn't work...maybe it could be the PS2 to PC adaptor. Try borrowing one from a friend, or a normal PC gamepad (direct USB cable). Good luck :)
