Does anybody know and have the time to tell me how to mod my PS2 so I can install a patch and get all the true liscenced teams with Barclay and Bundesliga emblems on the kits?

Also, if you maybe know a site that would lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated...plus I'll give you credit points!!! haha

Thanks in advance for any help

There is no 'moding' that I Know of, but you can download an option file with all the real names and kits etc and upload them to your memory card via a USB cable (this requires use of the X-Port adaptor).

preciate the reply man

Yeah, i have the Pategato and Goalgerd file, which is really awesome and I'll probably just keep using it, but i am kinda bored and wouldn't mind taking the time to mod the PS2 (i thought it could be "modded"-i guess is the word), hook it up to my computer and patch it like you can the PS3 and 360. I've seen online patches for the PS2 but I don't know how they do it. Anyways, thanks for the post.

There's hundreds of mods and patches out there. (As a hint, go to Evo Web and register).

You'll also find tutorials if you look hard enough. All you got to do is create an .iso file of your PS2 game on your PC/laptop. Then unpack the .iso using whatever software you choose. I usually use something like PowerISO to open the .iso file and then extract them to a file I create on the hard drive. You will then have all the files you need to patch ready on your hard drive.

You then follow patching instructions which come with most patches, re-create the image of the file by creating a .iso file with the 'patched' files. You then just burn the .iso file using something like ImgBurn and your done.

To play the burnt DVD though, you will need something like Swap Magic 3.6+ or a chipped PS2.

Hope this is an ok brief synopsis of what you need to do.

Thanks Bunford

I appreciate your help man, I'm going to try to do this...Just wondering BTW, how much better is the game after it's done, in your opinion?

Is this a must for die hard users and also, does this mean I can't edit the teams after they're done? Those are my last questions.

Thanks a lot buddy, i gave you some credits

thank ya sir

mate you could also buy swap magic

Yeah I saw that program...so for that you don't have to have your system chipped or modded, right? I need to check into that to see how it works. Do you know if there's any other materials needed?

Anyways, thanks for the reply!

You can edit the game to your liking.

I've added music patches, stadiums, ball packs, etc which make my game unique-ish to my liking. You can find and use the patches you think would make the game how you want. You then just use the OF that you prefer and hey ho, you've got your own fully edited and tweaked game.

I have about 6 different versions of PES which are tweaked in different ways so you can edit the files how you want each time if you get bored of your current edited version.

On the Swap Magic front, I paid £22 odd from the discs and the flip top case mod. I just took off the top of the PS2 case, put the new flip top case on and off I went. Makes it so much easier to use Swap Magic and also doesn't put stress on your disc drive by 'dragging' it out using the slider cards.
