Let me start off by saying that I am really looking 4ward to pes6 come friday 27th oct.

But i still can't make up my mind whether to get the ps2 version or the 360 version.

So on that note r ppl able to offer there views on what they will be doin and jus some info on wot differs between the two (apart from the graphics which is better on the 360)

My idea: If you have a 360 then buy the game for that. If it's shit and it bugs you not being able to have proper kits for some teams take it back to the store get your money back and buy the PS2 version.

People are complaining about the edit mode, and some ppl who were guna buy a 360 + PES6...have changed their minds.(Its what I was planning)

Now I see everyone doubting the idea, I wonder if theres better options for me.

I own an xbox, and I dont own PS2

Also I have never edited any kits, apart from the ML ones we had 2 make ourself.

SO...

For someone who isnt too focussed on the editing side of things, is a 360 +PES6 a good choice? or are there other negative points to the game that make it not worth it?

if u dont mind no editing then certainly get a 360 with PES6(or get PES6 on the 360) it is same in gameplay with the PS2 and has better graphics

well i look at that like this.........i don't have an XBOX 360 so it will cost me more if i wan't to play the 360 version (xbox + game)
i have a playstation and i will play that version
and i will wait for PS3....i think it's better to wait for it and not spending the money now for XBOX...just because of the pes6....

My ps2 died recently *sigh* so instead of buying a new one, I opted to get the 360. I will be getting PES6 on the 360 but if I'm not happy I'll pick up a cheap PS2 and get the game for that...

il probably wait til a decent optionfile is availible before i spend 50 notes on it, yes i like the game play but since pro evo 4 ive been getting the optionfile an experiencing the ultimate liquid football so for no editing on the next gen its a real let down for me ;(

I have a 360 and PS2. I will be buying and keeping PES6 for the 360 unless it is a complete piece of shit which is as likely as spurs winning the premiership. When the option files are released and ive played the 360 version to death ill buy it on th PS2 or PC. Waste of money maybe, but the edited option files can add a whole new dimension to the game, not to mention playing it on a diffrent format.

On regards to whether you should buy a 360 or PS2 for the game, it really depends on what you want to play. Xbox live is like MSN with proper games, the market place and the lag free online games make it an amazing piece of kit. Not to mention in the next 6 months some of the killer apps are coming out. If you just want pro get a PS2 itll cost you what, £100 at the most.

iam gettin the 360 version, i have always played pro evo on my ps2, that is now dead, so 360 version for me, though i fookin love editing kits.

one major point swaying me to get 360 version is to play it online! on xbox live it will be amazing (hopefully no lag) Most people only play pro evo for multiplayer, like its not often i play a freindly on my own! so when your brother isnt home to play you, find another one online, and play him hehe

It was the 360 version that made me feel empty.....

Exactly the same.
My opinion? Wait and try them out. Its annoying not to have the game on day one but its better then possibly forking out for 2 versions of the same game. People belive that its just the edit mode thats lacking, that is not true. There are other features which have been 'compromised' to meet launch. Also, wait till you actually see the 360 graphics in person before making your mind, from videos online I thought it looked fine, but when I saw it on HDTV you notice just how much detail the kits lacked.

However you could just buy both and put one on ebay after a month if you dont like it, something im seriously considering doing or I will just get the ps2 version.

I'm tempted to get the 360 version, but from the last two posts i'm thinking i'll play it safe this year and wait for PES7 - The truly next gen PES.

At least with PES6 on PS2 i'll be able to download decent option files and if the gameplay is identical to the 360 version i'll save £20 which would only go towards some slightly improved graphics on the 360.

On wot i hav read here and on other web sites the ps2 is a defin for me, but i still wanna jus c wot the 360 version is like, I mus admit it is a real let down that konami have rushed the 360 version for release jus to think if they just delayed it a bit to get it right it would have really moved pes onto the next level,

well i'll be getting it for the xbox 360, i play the game for the gameplay and i know that with the new animations and better graphics the game will be better for the 360, obviously no FULL edit mode is a bit of a disappointer but i have a feeling that they will add updates to the Marketplace to download every few months so that would be great!
