Well here we go then........who has downloaded the patch and uses HD and still experiences the above issues....and is there anyone on SD who's Patch has fixed the issues?

i play in HD on a 42" and this patch has fixed everything, i now love this game.

I even had a massive goal mouth scrammble today, the ball was bouncing around every where players flying all over the place, and it was as smooth as anything! BRILLIANT!

I had to restart the game 3 times before i was prompted to download it.

A few people on the forums are reporting that the PS3 patch has finally been released. Coming in at 130MB it's quite a big patch, so quite a bit could have changed.

To get the update installed, just load up your PS3 with PES2008 and it should download automatically.

Expect slow speeds is all I can say as many people have been waiting for this :p

How do you install the patch if you are not connected online? Would i have to use a usb stick with the patch on there then download it onto my hard drive that way?

this patch doesnt do anything. joker patch joker game insult for ps3 owners who have carried this game through three generations of gaming machines for so so many years to be treated with such an embaracing product

yeah!

i mean i got all pissed off when i first played 2008 & slagged it off.
But now ive played it a while its not as bad as i thought, now im into the ML i take it back. im still playing it as much as the last games, and i still play it in all my spare time! some things have improved and i think its slightly more realistic than the last games so things can only get better!!

If your not connected online how does it know u need an update?
Am I missing something?

You need to signed into your PSN account that way you will be able to download the patch. Once connected to PSN, boot up PES2008 and you will see there is an patch that can be downloaded - simple as.

Wow Wa Weeee!!!

Installed the patch last night. just put the game in (ps3 auto sign's into ps network) and turned PS3 on its prompts at the begining.

now remembering I had the worst slow downs and frame rates issues possible I think.

Only played 1 game but its solved 90% of the issues i moaned about. replays are ok as well!! occasionally they jump a bit but its much much better!!!! the game runs smooooooooth and im already counting down the hours to have a marathon session!!!

only ass is im djing tonight!!! and working saturday :( will have to wait till sunday (if I can keep the girl friend busy enough) to get a few hours in!!!!

i did notice that the slowdown comes back a little bit if you play a game in the rain.

also take note of the advertising boards during gameplay and then look at them during replays, seems as though they have toned down the graphics during play which has helped boost the frame rates.

as for people having trouble getting their ps3 to prompt them for an update, you may need to INSTALL the game first, because it seems to be this file the patch updates. So if its not there in the first place it may not prompt you. I dunno just a thought...

it has worked to some extent but the lag h is worse but ok replays. and its a discrace to think that it only runs proply on a hd rele is shit. not everyone can afford them konami, we should recieve a free one for keeping faith in pes this long. and putting up with bullshit long enough.
