tomorrow sony release the new firmware.

One of the features is:

"....The update includes a variety of major new features, including the option to suspend and resume software and backup your PS4 hard drive to external storage."

In german:

"Sichert und stellt Daten eurer Festplatte wieder her, von allen Benutzern auf eurem PS4-System, inklusive Einstellungen, Speicherdaten, Screenshots, Videoclips sowie Spiele, Patches und Download-Daten, auf und von einem USB-Speichergerät."

That means option files can be produced?:erm:

no, files have user id encode to them. It is the different of user id (option file makers on you account) that blocks the file. you can already back up file on-line via ps plus.

Just had the update for PS4. Amongst many other features it apparently has:

Features coming to PS4 with “Yukimura” include:

Back-Up and Restore HDD to USB — Back-up and restore your hard disc drive data associated with users on your PS4, including settings, saved data, screenshots and video clips as well as games, patches and download data, to and from an external USB drive.

The question would remain on whether or not Konami kept the data structure open to receive an option file, which I thought they did not based on past discussion here.

There's also something bugging me with "associated with users on your PS4" line:hmm:

Rather then discussing it, why don't we experimenting it?
Can someone upload their OF with the information of what change you made to the OF? so we can see if it's work or not.

I have been wondering this as well. But wouldn't Konami need to make a new update patch to enable this, if Sony has enabled it on their end?

there must be a way to fix our editing manually nightmare. The ps3 seems like nivarna compared to next gen :(
