Not to defend pes ( and ignore my username please ) but for real now.

Do you really not know the answer to your question?

One thing that 99.7% of people on forums complained about was how the past 2 PES games were so arcadey.

Konami wanted to show that the direction they are taking this year is the SIMULATION root. So the point of showing it is to assure us to at least EXPECT a real simulation and non of that fast paced BS.

Btw i realize that was a 50% demo but the development of the game is far ahead of that.....they are not gonna show us the build every 5% man....

Relax

here's a cheers to hoping you are right.
so as i said before we are all just hoping now.
don't get me wrong when it comes to great football games in my opinion PES is still in front.
but the evolution has stopped, and stunning graphics?......... somehow i thought there was going to be much more to talk about after the first impressions started coming in.

^Well, let's wait for an official statement at least to fully confirm it.
But anyway, if the animations are done right, then the 8 way movements won't be as bad as in 2009 for sure.

SAD SAD VERY SAD DAY FOR PES FANS , if the graphics were the only thing that was stunning about the game it's really sad.
no incredible animations, no breathtaking moves nothing that really left him in awe looking at the screen in disbelief and thinking to himself am i dreaming this or what, nothing like that.
just hopes, all his hopes were focused on the fact that this was a 50% build so we should expect some improvements come release day.
well ok let us all hope then that they are just pulling our legs and have something fantastic in store for us.
still that one question keeps running through my mind," why the f...... would they do that ?.
any answers ? i'm all ears.

Mate, they lie and the contradict so much.

If I remember correctly, their excuse for not having anything remotley decent at e3 and getting steamrolled by EA went something like....

"We didnt want to show a below version that would attract criticism, that would have been even worse"

Well it seems thats exactly what they done here then. They released some bollocks which Douggie Dounut is praying really is only 50% done and they are getting the same reaction.

The amount of excuses they have are incredible,

The one about not needing to cater too much for north amercian market at e3 was absolutley horrendous, but then Jon Murphy is clearly a buffoon anyways

But people convincing themselves that PES2010 actually does have more than 8 directions, or hoping that konami are do something in 2/3 months, that it took EA at least a year to build, smacks of delusion and desperation.

Then again, who knows, maybe PES does have more than 8 directions, but they just forgot to mention it due to all the excitement caused by their new playing cards idea.

The more and more i watch konami destroy this franchise, the more and more I think this is a europe vs Japan thing, with the europeans wanting a proper sim, and the japanese wanting to keep some kind of arcade, pick up and play, pokemon element in the game.

Those player card ideas are very japanese imo.

200 people extra worked on PES2010, and the stunning graphics is really what they all focused on.
i still think it will play a good football game but i expected the reviewers to be blown away and that doesn't seem to be the case.
but just buying the game for improved graphics sounds a bit crazy.
let's still hope.................................

blown away?? what the heck did you expect near life graphics and animations?? I mean they havent had much devolpment time so you shouldnt have had really really high hopes as you were saying. Plus you are acting very melo dramatic its like its the end of the world for you.

That being said I dont think any of the feautures that are really going to make game what it is have been revealed the problem is you guys for some reason are very impatient to the point you dont believe anything the devs are saying you dont even give them the benefit of the doubt saying its all lies even when most of the reviewers who actually use common sense are reserving there REAL judgments for when they see a near end build but sadly the fans arent as patient and humble they just want results straight away without giving Konami a chance to improve on their game.

We know the last two instalments were dissapointing but this one seems different the devs are saying were listening to our fans for input to make it the true football game but TBH with a fanbase like this they would be lucky to get anything out of you. The online is being dealt with theygot the champions leauge liscense and are implementing it online master leauge is being overhauled animations that the reviewers saw were great and fresh with most of the animations yet to be insereted please elaborate on what you want??ecause it looks to me that there doing there best. Ireally do not know how you excpected the peviewers to be blown away by a unfished product BUT every preview I red said that it looks promising and there heading in the right direction.

Your right it is a very very sad day for REAL pes fans because most of "them" are whining like little babies about how the graphics is the only thing they only focused on with out even seeing a single gameplay vid some people on this board are so pessimistic its depresses me...

^It's true that people are impatient. But I said this from the begining. I won't judge a game until I play it or AT LEAST SEE A GAMEPLAY MOVIE.
But for me, Konami are taking long to at least give us some hints about gameplay or possibly a video.

I would like nothing more than PES to be close to or as good as FIFA this year, just so EA make sure their 2011 version is even better than 2010 and not just a glorified stats update, because I fear that could be the case if Konami fail with PES this year.

And shaun, we're aware you're reserving your judgement until you play it. That's fine. I'm the same when it comes to movies and games. I'd much rather try something myself and then have my own opinion on it, it's just there's people here who are quick to be all "PES is gonna be awesome this year, read this..." when an article talks up the game, but then change to "play it first, you n00bs" when it's criticised in an article.

Very true.

Also, when the idea is in fifa, its shit, when its in pro, its "Amazing"

Fifa 09 custom tactics= "not a big deal"
PES2010 Tactics sliders= "Amazing"

Fifa 09 Penalties = "So what, game isnt realistic"
PES copies the idea= "Amazing, this penalities idea is great what a big change"

FIFA manager mode revamped= "So not a big deal"
Master League gets real money= "Oh my days, this is just incredible"

Lol.

The contradictions are amazing.

The feedback isnt even for this year lol, all these guys spilling their guts with ideas are wasting their time, the earliest they will be put in is 2011.

Great work from Konami, decide on how to make the game 1st......then ask for feedback when you cant implement it in time.

Typical.

(Double post by mistake, meant to edit it into my last post, i cant delete this one, so it doesnt deserve a yellow.)

So what?

Just because it's a PES forum, it doesn't mean the PES players completely despise FIFA and everything it stands for. This is PESGaming, not PESFanboy.

And Tech_Skill, the yellow's come when you make a double post but not realise the mistake you made. Evidently, you have. :)

yes but this thread mate...its about pes 2010 i kno there would have been a comparison to fifa but not completely bashing pes and stating fifa has everything pes wont have! pointless in my opinion

I'm fully aware of that and don't worry, un-neccesary PES bashing/FIFA fanboyism in a PES thread from a member will be dealt with, and vice-versa.

True (still it's a pes forum so you'd expect that), but there are other people out there that does the same with fifa.:)
Such things are fanboyism.
BTW I am not referring to anyone.;)

You guys are ridiculous. Seriously.

Wait till the games are out man.

And for you TECH: You keep going on and on abot this FIFA steamrolling pes. Do you sitll not realize that FIFA has no lasting appeal? You even said that it needs to work on being more fun for a long time i.e lasting appeal.

Why dont you go on criticizing EA and FIFA for taking our hard earned money for a game that loses its appeal so fast.

PES2009 may have its flaws...and side by side FIFA would win out....but in terms of which game lasted me longer ( I have both btw ) there is no comparison.

PES has not been up to par the last 2 years. OK WE GET IT.

BUT has konami made this much effort in the previous versions? Have they called representatives from pesgaming and pesfan and WENB and other sites this early to play the build?

The build was to merely demonstrate that PES is back in the simulation department and that is a slower and more defensive game. As for the sliders and cards....90% of the previous that i had read for positive....

Dont even tell me about FIFAs sliders...they are shit and you barely notice a difference.

FIFA better manager mode? Buddy I dont care what they have in that mode if the game is going to be boring after 4 weeks of play.....PES at least will always have the gameplay that LASTS and of course the master league which has the CL and EL .....

When fifa creates a game that can last longer than 4 weeks and still pack the same excitement as if it was DAY 1 when you bough it....than come on here and bash it.

As of now....we just have a bunch of promises from KONAMI and EA ....wait till we actually see the game in action....

and also....I really would love to see what you will say once you see all the new animations imported

( keep in mind the demo was 50% the development of the game is FAR AHEAD of that...)

I agree completely with you "proevofan88", even if you put your point across a little bluntly.

After a month or so of playing, I'm selling FIFA 09 on Ebay, it loses it's appeal very quickly and unless it's multiplayer - it's just not worth it. But as you say we should just all reserve judgement - "should". It's only natural for us all to be optimistic in the hope of a much improved game, but since it's been confirmed that Konami have went back to the Xbox Live serves for PES 2010 I'm already very happy, and will be pre-ordering it very soon. I'm expecting a similar online mode to PES6 now, which literally is still played very often by PES fans - that's longevity.

Oh dont get me wrong: I have pre ordered PES 2010 as well. I have faith in this version.

And what I meant by we should reserve judgment until it is out: We should not be saying ye PES ANIMATIONS SUCK, SAME GAMEPLAY, MM is the SAME. etc. Because we have not seen this game but a 50% build.

From what I have read. this is coming along as the successor to PES6...which is a great thing...

But I still think we need to talk about facts as of now rather than saying "Oh this game is gonna rock" or "This game will be the same as always"....

Lets stick to facts and hopes

^True. Finally someone who sees the truth.
Neither fifa nor pes are out so no judging.
As for fifa 10.
It is looking better because much more info has come out + a small gameplay. Pes didn't release anything that major yet. So that's a reason why not to judge.
As for fifa 09. It becomes boring (but still better than pes 09) because the controls take too much time to work on the pitch. Messi in reality makes moves 10* faster than in fifa 09. Especially the square + X feint. There's no consistency in dribbling and it takes too much time to work. That was my major concern with fifa 09. Though I am still playing it from time to time.

i don't get most of you , you should really read before you reply , because i never said that this was my final judgement about the game because i havn't even played the game yet so all i can do at this point is go with the views of a few that have.
judging from those it doesn't sound to promising if the only highlight that comes to their minds after hours of playing is the graphics.
even if the game is 50% finished i was really hoping for a lot more improvements than just the graphics.
in my eyes PES 2009 wasn't a failure and FIFA still has a lot to do if it wants to catch up to PES so those of you who want to put me on the PES haters list........please don't do some research and you'll see that i'm not.

but the fact remains that i had high hopes and expectations for PES2010 not only for myself to play but to finally shut all the FIFA fans up ( those of you who come here often know who i mean ;);) ) who visit this site sooooo often.
at the moment those hopes and expectations don't look like being fulfilled.
still i'm hopefull like all of you are because at the moment that's all we can do, or am i missing something ?
