Hopefully this hasn't been asked or covered in the forum yet, sorry if it is...i've had a good look but havn't found anything...

I'm thinking of getting WE7 i just can't wait till Xmas or whatever when pes3 comes out here to Australia. So basically, if i get a mod chip for my ps2 and get this game shipped out here...

Will i be able to just pick up and play - ignoring the stuff about patches that i just don't understand :confused:

I strongly recommend that you install a modchip inside your PS2. Then you'll be able to play original games, imported games, patched games which are burned games also edited, which means all names are corrected, and flags kits etc..

Yes, get a mod-chip. Messiah 2 seems to be a popular one and is the one I use. Patching seems difficult when you don't know what it is about but there are a few good guides and make it as simple as burning a CD (except you first patch the game and Then burn a CD!).

With the Messiah 2 chip, you can play any import or copied games as if they were an original - no fiddly bits like boot disks are needed. You can find out a bit more about methods to play import games in the great thread by Jag87 in the Editing section:
