You need to modify the positions of the defenders and change their attack and defence arrows so that they stay back more instead of bombing forward and leaving gaps. Once you do that it should be ok.

I like what they use now.
Make sure you hold Samuel and Helguera back far. Set Salgado too a bit more of a defensive style player, while Carlos has more attack.

Gravesen should have a very defensive setting. Zizou and Becks should be set to a medium defense setting. Owen, Raul, and Ronaldo low settings.

That should work fine.
