Hi guys, I was just wondering how to get off the ball players to run into space? I'm so tired of seeing space on the wing and having my winger just kind of jog, and not even in the direction of the goal.

Cheers in advance.

Buy Fifa, and create off the ball excellence.

Joking people! Its fucking shit.

Sorry i cant answer your question. Just seen the FIFA advert at the top of the page when reading your post. :p

Thanks for the suggestions!

Yeah when I was asking the question I was thinking of FIFA's off the ball crap. You're right, it's an awful game!

I fond that if you aerial thru ball it (L1+tirangle), they run onto it at sometimes faster than normal speed. maybe i'm on crack.

Also, try POSITION EDIT and move them forward, or give them attack arrows in the formatiuon settings.

One great way to work the wing is to get them the ball at midfield and then have them 1-2 pass to a central player who then getsit back to them upfield.

All the suggestions above work: 1-2's; R2; the player's Attack settings; Positioning; and aerial through ball.

Using the first half of a 1-2 will get a run from the wide player. e.g. to draw out the full back creating space for the man inside.

If you tuck in behind the wide player that should force him to make the run.

Set the player's (Individual) Defence awareness to Low, and/or try using 'Opposite side attack' in the Manual Strategies to make sure your players cover the width of the pitch.
