Recommended CDR types for burning

Which types of CDRs do you use for burning of patched games?
Which do you think are the best and why?

Please supply a link for where you can get them from.
Cheers :)

I have TDK but I would recommend Verbatim indeed cause they are the best. But in mine neighbour their is no Verbatim anywhere. So I use TDK, also good CDRs.

By the way always use CD-Rs where you cant look through if you put your CD-R in the sun. If you have CD-Rs where you can look trough, then your PS2 laser can damage.

I have used those discs for backing up data and a few games to. They are pretty good.

Yeah, I guess, but somehow the Infiniti ones seem more appealing for my PS2. It loads them up at once whilst the ProForm. needs a few jumpstarts.. strange phenomenom. :)

I'm currently using DATASAFE MEDIA 700MB. Not had any problems with them so far with patching WE7 and PES3 but I;ll probably switch over to TDK and VERBATIM coz everybody rave's on about them.

Well verbatim seems to be the best, loads quick. I dont know by meself cause I dont use Verbatim, its what I have heard. But in fact I think it doesnt really matter which CD you are using BUT as i said before: If you held your cd straight before the Sun and the Sun shines through your CD dont use it, it can damage your PS2 laser. So always use CDs where the sun cant shine through.

TDK 'Black' are really good Cdr's just because the PS2 finds them really easy to read due to the black writable side. No light gets through these babies! They are well cheap as well, about £7 for 10. I also heard Verbatim do good Cdrs but they seem to have so many different models that I find it confusing to buy the right kind (they don't write things like 'good for making PS2 backups' on the website!!

Nice to see you back Mumpleaser.
I would recommend verbatim, it does definately play a role which CDrs you use. Especially the V7 modell plays only a few types of CDrs, also older PS2-models, like my V3, don´t play all types. Verbatim´s are the best CDrs for your laser. You could also use CDRW if you have a newer console.
