I keep getting free kicks against me when my defender is standing still and the AI attacker runs straight at me and I press the pressure button just as they try to run through me.
On the replay I can see nothing wrong on my part, I simply get the ball hardly touching the attacker that rarely falls during this, but the ref blows and even gives me a yellow card most of the time.
Same goes for sliding tackles, if you reach the ball and tackes it away from the striker, then the striker keeps on running and trips in your defenders feet, the whistle blows. If Ai does the same to me, no reaction from the ref.
If I dribble past the last defender, ball gets past but my player gets a little push and nearly lose balance but keeps going, the ref blows the whistle once I'm clear on goal and give me a free kick.
If my player falls in the same scenario and the defender gets the ball first, the ref doesent react.
It's a way to reduce the goals on the players part, a cheap way to make the game seemingly realistic on the scoreboard.
Making sure most games retains the nerve right until the end, and make sure the AI keeps some sort of pressure by getting easy free kicks in dangerous positions.
