Can you change referee strictness? I am fed up with getting sent off for doing legit sliding tackles.

I take it that's a "no" then. Yet another thing that is starting to spoil this game.

I rarely find the ref's decisions to be annoying. Actually i enjoy the new ref-line, and am pleased that sliding tackles are punished, when they aren't good enough.

Then you'll of course say that they aren sometimes good enough, well hazardous tackles get punished even if the ball was taken clearly, in pretty much every league in europe (bar England). Rarely there are cards given for sliding tackles where you took the ball on your way.


EDIT: i still receive less than average amounts of cards in games, so you could argue that ref's should be even stricter.

The refs are a little inconsistant IMO and slightly bias towards the CPU. Many times i've done very little and got booked whereas the comp has blatantly fouled me and got away with it. They're okay on the whole, its just annoying when it seems you're treated unfairly.

True. KONAMI needs to improve that part of a game. It`s bothering me when I foul anyone with a slight tackle but they almost get my head off and the ref still doesn`t care..

Worst thing is handball!

Nice try to bring it in the game but its just annoying whenever im in the box and start making trouble its going to be handball just because the defenders kick it against my forwards ....

Did you all know that u CAN get penalties for handballs?

I received a penalty for the opponent making handball.


Handballs are frustrating though, and ruin the game. It was good in pes2 however when i scored with Nesta's hand The replay confirmed it BIG time, thats where it should have been implemented.

I've never received a penalty for a handball and the computer does it all the time

When it's a handball in the penalty, the referee never react.

can someone please put the link on for what the ref's r like plz. I recon the refs r ok, but have taken a step down from pes2. There are 2 many fouls for good challenges. And more importantly the advantage doesnt work as if u gain now advantage even after about a second it doesnt bring it back.
