Retro kits for the Classic Teams here (updated to include France '82, Germany '80)

I originally put these up at PESfan but seeing as their editing section is down, thought someone may find them useful here. They're by no means perfect but there's not a great deal of kits for the Classic sides floating around.

All of the logos etc can be found at the sakax site (http://www.sakax2.com/sakax2_html/nm_grid.html). Enjoy!

Apologies about the photo quality by the way, took them a while back with my phone (camera batteries were dead) so they're not brilliant, haven't had a chance to take any better ones though

Netherlands: European Championships 1988

Hard to get antyhing that looks spot on close up, but in game from a distance it looks accurate :)

NOTE: The Admiral logo should be red on the home shirt, I made a mistake with that one. The logo also needs reducing in size a bit from the one on sakax, and a white outline adding (to give it that 80s stitched on look, none of that screen printed rubbish we get today! :))

Italy: Kappa Shirt 1999

Just an experiment really, probably not worth using but thought I'd post it anyway. The home equivalent was just a plain blue shirt. Note that it should be the newer Italy badge on the shirt too, not the old one that I used.

Cheers! Haven't had a chance to do any for Germany yet but hopefully will do over the next day or two, I'll add them to here when I do. Hopefully should have France '82 up before long too.

Yeah, you can do it by stocking the kits of the Classic teams then loading them into one of the regular sides (with circle I 'think', its been while since I've done it). Just as a bit of step-by-step in case you're not sure how to stock kits (maybe it was just me being stupid but it took me ages before I noticed you could do it!)...

1: Go into Editing, and select one of the Classic Sides
2: Select to edit their kit, then press Triangle to exit which'll bring up the usual menu with three options (Stock and end, End and don't stock etc). Select stock
3: Go to the team you want the short shorts on
4: Press Circle (I think!) to bring up another menu, select the option which loads the stocked kit (apologies I've forgotten exactly what it says)

Only problem is ocassionally it causes the kit to glitch a bit, the collar goes weird and the number gets moved to one side, sometimes its ok though (picture attached)

These are looking good johnuk2000, I am in the process of creating players for classic teams so these are useful to me. Thanks

Kroowk: Thanks mate, I came across your classic players thread when I was searching the forums a couple of minutes ago and they'll come in very handy, good work!

Villene: I'll have a go at the Newcastle one after I've got the classic Germany/France ones done, I'm not too great with logos/sponsors however so I'll only be able to do the kit design, apologies :)

Davy05: If you let me know which Man Utd one you want doing I'll give it a look at some point... a guy at pesfan did a cracking one from the Champions League final, I'll repost that if I can find it so you don't have to wait for me to make one

I'd forgotten about that Chelsea shirt, a classic :)

I'll give that one a go but it'll be very hard to get looking good up close, although I think it might have found a way to get it looking ok from a distance

Should have classic France and Germany up shortly...

For Villene:

Newcastle United 95/96

I've had a go at it, I'm having a wee bit of trouble with the sleevs though. As you can see it looks ok from the front, there's a shirt very similar on the editor...

...however getting the adidas stripes right on the sleeves is difficult, I couldn't seem to make a big enough white patch to go under them, plus then there's the problem of not being able to stop them before the neck...

Here's the code for it anyway, if you want to have a go at it and try and get it looking a bit better. Apologies I've not done the Newcy Brown Ale logo, I'm not great at making logos/sponsors, however I can point you towards a tutorial on another forum for easily turning JPEGs into grid designs if you want it :)

Shirt: Collar (Black)

Shirt: Collar (Blue)
Part 1: A3 (White)
2: C7 (White)
3: A28 (Blue)
4: C11 (Greyish-blue, R:20 G:20 B:23)

The reasoning behind using the grey pinstripes is that they won't look as pronounced, when they're just plain white they look a little over-the-top. Its the same problem as with making the new Spain shirt, except it seems a bit more correctable here. Note that the 3rd shirt part (A28) may seem pointless but it covers up the big name patch that C11 puts on

Shorts: C18 (White, White, Red, White)

Socks: B2 (Red, Blue, White)

Away

If I remember right this was the same but with blue and red alternated pinstripes, which is immposible to do. However it'll no doubt work well enough with blue stripes. I'm going off memory there, they re-released the shirt about a year ago but I'm not sure if it was exactly the same.

NOTE: Obviously will look a lot better with the actual old French logo, I just hadn't had a chance to put it on mine, you can find it at sakax as usual

Very simple to make, you probably don't need help doing it but anyway...
