This has happened loads of times to me, but close replays level with the goal-line show the ball doesn't go in. Even his feet will be a good distance behind the line but if you look really hard you can see a tiny little bit of the ball is still on the line.

It's really annoying, I think they should make it so that it is possible for keepers to make mistakes (very, very rarely) like stepping behind the line or handling the ball slightly outside the area.

A very tiny part of the ball does not cross the line and hence it is not a goal. Zoom in to the replay to verify this. If the ball is completely over the line, it is given.

I agree.

Yea, me too. It was when Roy Carroll was in goal for United, and the ball got hit from half-way. Carroll fumbled, ball went a metre over the line, but wasnt given. I believe it was MU v Spurs?

One time I shot, the keeper defended on the outside of the post (the part facing the end line flag).
He was facing the end line very near the post.
As he turned around holding the ball, he passed the ball through the net behind the post and kiked it bak in play...
I was like wtf!!!!!

I feel sorry for the goalies, half the time when they save a shot near the post their body goes through it, ouch!
