I was controlling Ronaldinho and passing in the direction i was facing using the x button. Instead of a normal pass he quickly turned 180 degrees and then backheeled it. Awesome!!

It kinda looked like the R2 stop/turn you can make to face the goal, but I know for sure that it was not this button I pushed as he turned away from the goal and then backheeled the pass 'forward' which was the direction i was facing before the turn.

I am almost sure that it was a random computer made decision to turn and backheel, but in that case i think it strange that I have only seen ronaldinho do it once in more than 5 seasons. Has anybody seen this move and / or does anyone know if it can be done on purpose?

its basically when you have done one move and have entered the command for another. Essentially buffered 2 moves. keep practising, you'll be able to do it a lot more often the more you practise. try doing 2 skills that almost merge as 1. I do a stepover straight into a both foot feint among others. Looks really kool. :)

hmmm, interesting i'm going to give it a try.
I was convinced that it was a random cpu decision though, because i am positive that i only touched the pass (x) button.
But now that you say, what it looked like was ronaldinho doing half of the marseille turn and backheeling it after 180 degrees.
I'll go and practice, thanks for the tip mate!

hmmmm, practiced til my thumbs bleed but still haven't managed to reduplicate it.
However I am sure now that it is not half the marseille turn and the backheel, since the marseille turn is a little bit diagonal whereas the backheel move was a sharp 180 degree turn.
Also sure that it was not turning with r2, since i turned away from the goal not towards it.
Anybody else has any thoughts on this?
