- Type this address into the address bar on your browser: 192.168.2.1

- Login, your password will most likely be blank as you will not have set it. Though it is safer to set one.

- Go to the tab on the left, DHCP Client list. Retrieve the IP address of the computer you wish to give access to play PES4.

- Then select Virtual Servers, in the first box type the a description this can be anything but 'Pes4' would be most suitable. Next type the number of the port that is to be open in the next box.. In the next type the same number as it is only one port for PES4.

- Select UDP from the drop down menu. Where the IP is written it will be indentical to the one you retrieved from the DHCP Client list except it will have a space at the end, where you enter the number specified in the DHCP list for the PC you will be using.

- Where it says private port enter the same port numbers as you did for the inbound port numbers. Then tick enable.

- Then click apply changes, this should allow you to play online PES4.

I hope you can follow that.

I'm having the same problem...
I don't know what to put as LAN Port? Any ideas? I know the Public Port is 5739.

I Don't think it's anything to do with your router, due to you turning off you firewall and it still not working. Seems like a different problem though.

When setting up a virtual server it asks me what LAN port to use? I've put 5739, but I don't know whether this is right, secondly, I'm not turning off my firewall.

These are the adjustments I have made in order to get it to work. Though I'm still getting the error, "Unable to connect"

Is there anything else I need to do? Oh this is so frustrating. :(

Mate, just take a chance switch off your Router's firewall then load up the game, try and connect if it works then the problem lies in your router settings. If not then it's likely something else.

Yup, I've tried switching off my firewall. Online play still doesn't work and I still get the same old "Unable to connect" messages.

1. just try and set your computers ip to the dmz and see if it works
2. make sure that both of the people trying to play have the same game version and are not using no cd cracks

I think I have the solution to your problem. I have the same router and have the firewall enabled, and managed to get it working for the first time tonight. What you have to do is click on "WAN ping blocking" under the firewall menu and clear the checkbox which says "Block ICMP Ping".

Right, I'll try that out now.

I think the problem must be with my firewell. I'm currently in a PES4 matchup room, I can't seem to ping anyone. I get the error message, "Timed out, firewall blocking?"

Bloody firewalls! :)

My mate has tried to login but it's not working, even when he leaves the password blank. Any ideas why this is happening? or what he needs to do?

p.s. i'm not sure if you need any more information so please tell me what i need to tell you if necessary.

What's wrong with using no cd cracks? It works fine for me - I haven't got a router, but is that a specific router problem? Sounds weird...

And yes, I have the game on dvd but it's much easier to have a no cd crack instead of always having to load the dvd.....
