Safe Penalties

may sound stupid but is there any trick to kick penalties and always score them? i ALWAYS kick to the upper part of the goal and use a player with the PK star but usually (much more than i would expect) it gets stopped by the goalkeeper... it doesnt miss, just gets stopped by some mediocre GK u.u

Aim straight down the middle as if the keeper saves it there is a big chance of it rebounding back to you.

Well I can only offer tips, not a sure fire way to always scoring. But if a player has a 'Penalty Star' he is much more accurate in scoring in the top corners, whereas a player with no 'Penalty Star' is less accurate in the top corners and therefore safer aiming towards the bottom of the goal.

the goalkeepers in pro are far too good at saving penalties, unfortunately its just one of those things you have to get used to till the next one ;-)

i think theres one tip to saving penalties, against the CPU when the CPU step up to take a penalty, if they seem like they take a long time to take the penalty he will normally always shoot for the middle of the goal. this worked on pes5 not 100% about pes6 but it has worked for me alot on pes6, doesnt work all the time though.

It's merely a default response, which is the same for human players. For example, if I'm taking far too long with my penalty kick, then the player will just automatically kick it down the middle. I'm assuming it's the same for the opposition CPU too, but it's definetely in PES6 and will probably be in PES 2008 too. It's just to prevent people being arses and doing nothing, especially when playing online.

Yep. I have NEVER missed a penalty during a match against CPU and I always shoot them down in the middle.

If your winning by a few goals, try and slot em down the bottom corners - looks better
