Yeh lol.

I've just done the Prof. Genki gameshow on Hard. It took me forever to pass it as there's loads of opponents, 4 or 5 rooms full of traps and shit. And if you get £3.5k then a massive brute comes round and starts attacking you! Oh and it's all timed lol.

I love them, only had to retry one once. ALways manage to get loads of powerup presents during them for kill streaks and headshots so never had much trouble, you get points for avoiding traps as well.

There is a DLC planned called Genkibowl iirc and it will feature loads of new challenges and gameplay types.

Right, just bought Saints Row 3 and downloading the freebie SR2. You're right Jonno, its ridiculous that it doesn't tell you about the freebie copy of SR2. Not a snip of info anywhere.

Ali

It is happening again
Maybe I should get this after Christmas some time, and join the love-in.

The carnage:

I played SR2, felt a bit dated compared to GTA and wasn't a great fan of the controls, but the gang wars and general madness of it were undeniable fun. I have high hopes though for SR3 - although I've yet to put the disc in the PS3 as I'm on a Killzone2 renaissance - but I wondered, are controls customisable on this version?

Unlocked Mascot Costumes for my crew, t'is great fun!!

Just started playing this, aside from when it crashed when I was fannying around with the wardrobe in my crib this is epic fun. The controls are closer to GTA which certainly help considering how intuitive their controls are after years of usage, the gameplay is better than the last GTA though and streets ahead of SR2. The graphics are impressive as well. I've barely scratched the surface of the game but its very promising so far.

Ok, I think i've reached the point where the story/plot may start getting ludicrous
STAG have just shown up, ridiculously hitech weaponry and vehicles galore
but it has definitely upped the difficulty considerably, so that's a good thing.

I put some solid gameplaying hours into this last night, only doing the missions so far. I've created as best I can Jack Nicholson's Joker as my character except with the Zombie voice option. Cuts quite a figure. Really enjoying the high level of customisation and extras that GTA lacks. R* should take note of this as SR3 is easily a lot more fun that GTA4 was in my humble opinion. I'm mainly using the pistols as they're great for headshots because generally gangs and cops take a ridiculous amount of bullets to die. The brutes are fucking nightmare, its taking me two rockets to take those bad boys out.

You can upgrade your weaponry at the gun shops, most have up to 4 levels of customisation. Dual wielding pistols and SMGs is also something you want to buy from your abilities list as soon as they are unlocked.

With brutes I just run and gun around them until I weaken them enough to get a QTE where you shove a grenade in their mouth like so

Armoured brutes with mini guns or a flamethrower are pains in teh backside though, the latter can be taken out by shooting their gas tank and making it explode.

On a side note I just unlocked this:

I've not bothered with paying for the new abilities yet as they are very pricey and I'm doing fairly well with a single pistol, 7 headshots in a row my best record. I've been using the quick takedowns as well, they're brilliant and theres quite a few animations, more than I've been expecting too. My favourite is where your character just lays across the floor nonchalantly leaning on his elbow.

Seeing as I currently have an hourly income of around $45k I am literally rolling in cash, and I have been for a while, so I've been able to buy everything and anything when I want.

My favourite is the one where you run up behind someone jump land with your feet on there back and surf/grind for a few yards down the street. Just finished Act 2, i'm not gonna spoil what happens so the pictures and info will be linked in a spoiler tag

Zombie Outbreak! One of the islands is cordoned off and all bridges raised but you can jump over with a nitro boost. Then there are literally an infinite amount of zombies on the island. I found it funny that my Rim Jobs was being defended by a squad of my homies and I manged to get around 12 of us fighting back against the hoardes

I called in some of my Lieutenants too (you can see Oleg, Zimos, Nightblade and Pierce here)

I already knew about this after looking at the trophy list and playing Whored mode and I thought it would make the game just ridiculously stupid, but I was wrong, so awesome!

I'm going to jump on SR3 again now, feels like I've barely scratched the surface of this game, I'm buying up properties left right and centre to increase my income. Only on about 20% of owning Morning Star area. I've literally done that and the missions, no idea whether to drop off that and start doing the side missions.

Oh God, just did mission 44, Barn you would love this

Wrestling match, you're outside of the ring beating up Luchadores while the fight is going on, then the guy you're supporting gets power bombed out of the ring and overwhelmed by Luchadores, then someone throws a chainsaw to you and while the music "You're the best, the best..." plays you brutally destroy dozens of Luchadore wrestlers drenching the area in blood before getting back into the ring and beating the wrestler with some great gameplay!

3 missions left

Godammit! That Heli mission is frustrating. I need to work on my Heli flying if I'm ever going to complete that mission.

Yeah I struggled with the helicopter mission initially, fortunately I think that's the only mainline mission that needs you to control a helicopter and gun stuff down, there are others in the city takeover activities though.

Finished the story just, the last mission is epic as fuck.
