Scoring direct from a corner

Can anyone tell me if this is possible on PES3. I've tried a few times curling one in with Beckham but the keeper always seems to tip it back over for another corner.

If you can do it please post some tips on your technique.

Cheers fellas.......

I got one with Recoba.
Different players have different amounts of curl, power and accuracy so there's no set way to do it. But you need to get the ball curling in at pace right to the near top corner. Otherwise keep's just tips it over, like you say.

It is actually quite easy to score directly from corners. If it doesn't go in directly, it can go in off the keeper or a player. As earlybird said the curling ability of players vary so there a guarenteed method for all players. With players with 75 curling or below, aim as close to the goal line as you can and then aim a fraction away from the line. Fill the power bar 50% with the approriate curl and you should have success.

I've stopped trying now as I simply find it too easy.

I've found if u turn your player all the way to the base line, then press away twice quickly with two taps (on dpad), give it 50% power, and hold towards the goal with the dpad, it should go straight in 5 out of 10 times, then either an own goal or another corner, occasionally hitting the bar or post and coming back out.

Corner scoring

I know how to score corners and to be honest it is much easier with players who can curl the ball with stats of 85-90 eg figo, veron .These are most successful as me and my friends have competitons to see who can score the best corner.

To do this simply
. make shore the player is between 80-90 stats on curling.
. take the corner with the in swinging kicker
. place your man so he is looking down the goal line
. take 2-3 taps away from the goal line , so he is online with the 6 yard box.
. Now press circle so the power bar is just above half way on the meter.
. keep your finger on the inswinging direction.
.prey. honestly it works , if you do this correctly you are able to put the ball in the back post . stunning the helpless goalie

GOODLUCK

That's called a cross. ;)
What I mean is, when you aim to score directly from a corner, it may hit a player or the keeper on the line before going in. :)

Not, cross - header - goal! :p

i hold up on nearly all my set pieces. out of habit more than anything, but its good to have more pace when attempting scoring from a corner.

i find that i need to hold UP + LEFT or RIGHT (depending on direction) as well as X + R1 to make it dip enough....

When taking free kicks, I used to simply hold left or right depending on which way I wanted to swerve the ball. I understand now that holding up gives more power, so can anyone tell me for example, if I want to get a lot of power whilst still swerving the ball do i simply hold up whilst tapping the power and then as he kicks the ball, hold left or right to get the swerve 'cos I don't seem to get nearly as much this way...!?

What I'm trying to say in simpler terms is: Do you have to sacrifice swerve for power when taking free kicks?

has anyone every scored one directly with the outside of the boot with like Carlos??? because that is what i am aiming to do... because that would be excellent...

familymahone

Back and to the left.
er not with the outside of the boot but he always takes the right sided corners for madrid with Beckham getting the left side

corners

Cheers for that boys just scored a loada goals from corners wiv kewell and gerro wiv liverpool. Cant believe it really didnt think it was gonna be that easy, im gonna destroy all my mates when i get them round for a sess this weekend. Most times it hits the keeper and rolls into the net but harry "crazy like a god damn fool" kewell has got a knack for slotting over the keepers head its such a sweet feeling!

i have scored a few times from corners, obviously its very easy on very easy on easy mode ;). Usually if you just curl it against the keeper it bounces in off him, but on the harder difficulties you have to get it over the goal keeper as thats the only way i have only done that once with van nistelrooy
