I found a way to score practically from this range on most occasions, i think this is very good if u can master it especially in last minute situation. Basically the ball chips the keeper :)

Ill give u a hint basically get a player on the ball pass it to the taker and it smashes ova the keeper :)

Someone did that to me online! Lobs my keeper with Lampard from nearly the halfway line! I just thought it was a freak goal...obviously not.

it's some sort of bug lay the ball off with you'r power nearly full up aim at the middle of goal and bobs you'r uncle.

It's not a bug, just it really would be a nightmare ball for a keeper to deal with. But 9 times out of ten they would deal with it, unless you've got some utter biff between the sticks.
Wouldn't you rather play the ball to a man and create a scoring situation the old fashioned way?
If I was playing against you and you kept doing that I'd be having a field day, you'd be giving the ball away loads for a very slim chance of scoring and I'd be punishing you on the counter.
I'd wait until you got near the halfway line and just cheekily foul you, all the time. Then just wait for the ball to go out for a goal kick or land in my keepers hands, rather than work my bollocks off chasing around defending.....

Having said all that, if you are just a noob playing on 1 star, then yeah, whatever.

yep thats the one I have herd that it was a bug but to do the shot you still have to get the right power and angle.Try this when you start a match lay the ball off when the oposition charges do the flick down then up on a-log timing is important hopefully the ball will go over the opositions heads then run on to the ball while it's still in the air and volley.You get the same effect as the long free kick but looks shit hot and it's something to show off about to you'r mates.

i dislike it, ive done it a few times with totti, the fact u can always do it even against buffon is very unrealistic, it happens coz the goal keeper randmly charges out wen the ball is layed off, why? i think this needs to be fixed 4 the nxt edition, once is ok by fluke but weneva u want to do, in the last minute? i wouldn't call that a good win if i did it.

I worked out how to do this a few months ago. Its wicked when you do it to someone online especially when their winding you up or being cheeky. The ball has to be central though like in line with the goal. Gerrard is the best for it.

the goalie rushes forward for every lay off free-kick.

(lol i didnt read any of the messages after the first n second - so this has probably been said.. but is true.. they rush forward as soon as you lay it off.)

This was possible in PES4 as well. It is true. When you make the lay off the keeper advances. My opinion is that it's extremely childish to attempt such a stunt everytime you get a chance. It does not work all the time anyway. It's mathematically impossible.

The ficken keepers should stay put unless ordered otherwise. That kind of goal really pisses me off.

Oooold news!

It works 1 out of 10 times, and you need a player with free acuaracy stats over 90.

I still try it every now an then, but NOT when I am down and need the ball desperately to score.

I think that shot power is more important when it comes to accomplishing this kind of thing. All you have to do is almost max out the gauge and aim at the middle of the goal, because what you are trying to accomplish is lob the keeper not go for the top corner.
