have always believed that great players could play in any era.Talking about Pele it was his football brain that set him apart. So things have not changed that much really
when we talk about great players but football was magical back then compared to what its become in the last 10-15 years.

Agreed..
Although we have some great players Today; Xavi, Riquelme, Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fabregas, David Villa, Fernando Torres, Van der Vaart, etc, etc..
None of them have the Level of Technical and Tactical skills -that- described players like Maradona.
I mean, we had Van Basten, Maradona, Platini, Zico, in the 1980s -then- we had Romario, Baggio, Ronaldo, Zidane -but- currently, we just don't have those Type of players.
Maybe, "marketing" is ruining the sport, or maybe the more Physical approach restrains (or ignores) a Lot of players with Natural Skills. Don't know what it is to be honest..
Anyways, Ronaldinho was a great player for about 3 or 4 seasons, Messi seems to be getting there.. let's see Who lives up to the expectations.
