What's everyone's favourite classic player that they didn't know about. I played as classic Holland and found a great striker in Neeskens that i have no knowledge of. Was he in the 1978 world cup squad?

Passarella is pretty good considering I had never heard about him before buying him.

I like Van Basten the most I guess.
He's able to finish from anywhere.

Maradona and Pele are very useful too.

I use pele and maradona in the ML as they are very skillful, but leave them on the bench and only use them if injuries occur.

i dont know him that much that i dont even know his name... he is on the bench for classic argentina... he is a striker... and he is considerably better than the one partnering maradona

most people in here are missunderstanding the question. youre naming your fav classic player when he wants to know the favourite you dont know of in real life.

In the Brazil squad i didnt know of Rivaldinho  Was probably a very good player, is also a good player in WE7I but I have never heard of him!

GFK, Rivaldinho is Rivelino - does that help?

And whoever was referring to the Argentinian strikers - I presume you mean Kempes?

It bedazzifies me in a bafflement of sporadic confustication that people haven't heard, or known of, these players.

If you had a good football knowledge you'd know all these greats already......unknowns who were infact unbelievably good were yashin, neeskens, passarella, jennings, zoff, gentile,to name but a few........yashin was imo the best ever.

Yashin was hardly "unknown." He's quite widely regarded as the best 'keeper of his time, and indeed of quite a few other times as well.

he's regarded as the greatest of all time among goalie but go to an under 16s match and ask all the lads who he is and they'd be lost.
