hey ive found out a couple of days ago that u can set ure self up for volleys :D . wen ure running hold the right analog stick down( not pressing it in) then flick the right analog stick to the top and u will flick the ball into the air and u can volley it :D

I think many ppl know this already, but after you flick up usually the opponent will dispossess you haven't you experinced???

Try doing it in one quick down/up movement as well, rather than holding it down.
I think most people do it that way.

That's possible too but a straight volley isn't as effective as the side one, and usually go sky-high, especially on a half-volley. :(

I've found the aerial through-ball L1+ :triangle: more useful for scissor-kick volleys, played sideways from the corner of the box to the CF.

i use this technique quite a lot, and sum how get away with it. i scored a volley from the edge of the box in2 my m8 using this, ur best holding ur finger down untill the defender gets really close to u b4 flicking up ;)

I think fyfey is saying it works (flick-up, or flick-up then volley?), somehow he gets away with it, scored a volley against his mate using it.

Best to hold down on the right-stick until the defender gets really close, before flicking the stick up (and the ball) at the last moment.

That suggests to me that you can hold the stick down as long as you like, just as long as you flick it straight up from there at the right moment.
