"Is there a way to shoot that the ball travels on the ground only?"
In the Training options there's a Tutorial that sets out the basic controls, but also a Beginners Lesson that I only noticed and looked at the weekend.
It may be that I've confused the tutorial with the beginners lesson, but one of them takes you through shooting 1-on-1. It says keep the power button low to keep the shot down close the ground, where it's more difficult for the GK to save.
I found the Beginners Lesson is very good for 1-2's and shooting.
What I'd like to know from more accomplished players is how the shoulder buttons and/or Left Analogue stick work in combination with [] to pick the right shot?
L1 will turn a shot into a lob, R2 seems to put more power into the shot, and lift it a little. R1 seems to turn it into a pile driver, usually wide unless you've time and space to sprint onto the ball, let go of R1 then strike.
The Left Analogue gives direction, from the players' perspective I understand. So attacking Left to Right, pulling down will aim towards the 'near' post, on the player's right. Pushing up will send the shot towards the 'far' post on the player's left.
Is that right? And what about pulling the Left stick Left or Right as you shoot? Or in diagonal directions?
