Being as technically minded as I am (not very!) I'm struggling to get my PES4 to run at any sort of decent speed and haven't got a clue how to sort this out. My pc is pretty new and of decent spec but if anybody has any suggestions please let me know.

Cheers

If you post your specs, someone might be able to help. There is a lack of psychic people these days.... ;)

Yeah but as I said, this isn't my area of expertise. What specs do you need?

Well, the Graphics card plays some important role here, so let us know which one is it? The following trick works for me on nVidia GeForce 2 MX 440 card, P4 2.4GHz, 256 MB RAM, D845GEBV2 Motherboard .....
In the Programs-->Konami-->Settings ..
Set the resolution to 1024x768 windowed mode with LOW detail.
Launch the game..
Once the game is loaded goto OPTIONS-->SCREEN
Change the setting to MEDIUM detail
Seems to work for me... try it
Also before u start the game make sure no other program is running. Try shutting down all useless icons from the system tray like Y! Messenger, Print Spooler etc etc. If u have a firewall, shut down the network and quit any resident programs like for surround sound... Try to keep the system tray free of any icons.. Another thing is in PES4 sound settings reduce the commentry frequency and if u don't want it shut off the music...
