i think they need to slow down the gameplay just a little.
it feels too much "run and gun".
in other words, all you have to do it play with say messi or ronaldo....
run down the wings...cross...over and over

i can easily stop this but it becomes boring especially when u see this over and over and over in the Online modes

the gameplay is too fast also when passing the ball
the one-touch passes are ridiculously accurate ...too accurate maybe
I believe that may have to do with the rushed rating system for players
the ratings on a lot of the players r crazy. Especially the EPL players. Some are rated way too high when u compare them to the other leagues
I'll throw a few examples when i get some

I feel the game allows both styles of play. It's up to you to slow it down, to stop sprinting, bringing the ball to a halt, holding it up, looking at the options in real-time. I'd hate for it to lose the pace as that's how I like to play it.

Not for nothing is PES at its best joyful; to me that means its quick natured attacking football does it better than any game, especially the variety of goals you can score.

I don´t think the pace of the game is too fast if you play a passing game. But of course, if you take Messi and CR9 and run all the time it will be a "run and gun" game! Take for example PSG and try to play a fast pace game, it´s impossible!! It all depends on how you play and the players you have... maybe they should slow down the speed of some players, but no the pace of the game, imo.

The game is definitely too fast in my view, and it's just a shame we no longer have the option to alter the gamespeed to meet our desires as was the case in older PES titles. If it would have hindered with the online play, then simply have a default speed for online, and allow the user to play at his/her desired pace offline.

If PES want to remain relevant in today's market, then they have to slow down the gameplay. People want a realistic football sim, and having the pace of NFL Blitz isn't going to help Konami, it only adds to the stereotypes of PES being an arcade game - which after playing FIFA 10 for a prolonged period of time, honestly seems the case.

Imo, the incredible amount of defensive pressure the AI puts you under through the middle (especially at higher difficulty levels) inflates the tempo to an unrealistic level and makes play predictable. Otherwise, the speed would be fine. When five defenders will simultaneously track down and catch a sprinting Agbonlahor 9 times out of 10, regardless of their stats, you're forced to move the ball asap and play it wide quite a bit, just to get a little time and space to operate.

i think the main thing is the rating system is poor

even if u slow it down...there are tiems the otehr person...
especially online is jus a run and gun..
and playing against real madrid and barca ALL the damn time sucks even more

i like playing with all kind of teams
Russian, sevilla, valencia, fiorentina as well as the other big names but geezz...
all the time???

messi defending and winning defensive duels jus cause he's fast??????

PES knows they rushed this one

I agree slow it down, even pes 09 was much slower and the gameplay felt more controlled in pes 09

Eh Ronaldo and Rooney I guess are a bit overpowered maybe if the running animations were tweaked its kinda getting old.

Hey, howdy fellas?
I have the PS3 version of PES 2010 and there is this problem which really annoys me to the point I wouldn`t wanna play on. It is about the game speed increasing to an almost unbelievable level after two or three games played back to back. I mean the first game feels the right speed and tempo. the second game is a bit faster in terms of players passing speed, shooting, running, etc. but from 3rd game on, it is almost unplayable. Its like 3x compared with the first game. What is this problem? I really can`t play a couple of games in a row.The game speed gets too high. Funny thing is, sometimes it is 3x right from the first match !
does it have anything to do with the PS3 being powerful and stuff? cause I read some article about the same problem with high end PC settings.
Please share ur thoughts guys. Thanks.

That would be you getting used to the controls. The first time we all played a match of PES 2010, we thought the game play was slowed down. However, once you get used to the inner workings of the game, the true nature(speed) of the game starts to show itself again.
