Game Speed

:circle:

Hi

I am using an ''emachine PC'' no problems at all. The PC is pretty flexible. I know the basic methods of slowing and speeding the game, i.e. chance resolution, but there is anyother way ?

My game runs perferctly, the speed im sure it ideal to all, but for moving to 4th level of the game, is there a way of slowing the game just closer to natural speed, rather arcade speed.

I have noticed that after getting 'double speed' and then dont use it, the games does slow very slightly, so perhaps is one of the ways of doing so.

Let me know if there is anything that you aware of,

I dont have PS2 so everything that I ask will be PC related.

Many thanks

Susanne.... Try downloading the latest drivers for your hardware.... e.g. post the details about your hardware on here and I can help you find what u need which might hopefully make the game run better at the higher graphical details settings... please at minimum post your CPU,Ram, HDD Space,GFX Card and Operating System (e.g. Win XP or Win 98) so this can be dealt with easier and faster...

Regards

and post your info in the other thread thats dedicated for that.

also suzanne, do you have to use the speed 'cheat' to get it to run the way you want now?

I think that speed cheat sucks.... It runs way to fast on my machine.. Either that or my machine is just too good for it!! lol!

GFX-Card-change helped with speed ...

Hi!

I experienced the same Problems with the slowdown, i got the Following System-Spec:

Athlon 64 3.200+
512 MB RAM (PC400)
MSI GeForce FX 5600
Newest NVida-Drivers

I tested a lot of things from turning vsync off to changing resolutions in every possible way, nothing helped. 1200x960 ran slowmo ... now, without changing the drivers or anything else, i put in a Leadtek Ti4600 Winfast and it runs fast and smoothly as a baby ... even in 1200x960.

Anyone can explain why this behaviour ?! The FX5600 is a bit better than the Ti4600 and no other changes were made to the System except changing the card.

Any Ideas ?! I can at least say that the game seems to work fine with the Ti 4600, sadly it's not mine and i have to return it to my friend soon :-(

Any suggestions how i can get the FX5600 to work properly with the game ?! Every other game works more than perfectly (like Prince of Persia)

Greetinx ... Tarabas ...

I have:-
amd athlon 1.2ghz
geforce ti4600 128 ram
384 mb ram
on board sound
windows ME

I think the slowdown in this game has more to do with sound than graphics...

I disabled my soundcard and it run fine with all detail in highest resolution, but with it on its dodgy to say the least.

Surely they can release a patch to sort this out ?????

You never know... try updating all possible drivers e.g. motherboard, gfx and onboard and pci sound cards etc.. try turning off background processes and try updating the game to v1.3 as this fixes a lot of slow down issues... I havent tried the game with windows me yet but I hope it works ok when I do change back to that...

Right i'm getting annoyed now, I can't put my detail over low and I cant take my resolution over the lowest one because as soon as I do my players start to move like swimmers.
I have a Geforce 2 ti which might explain it but I have 512mbs of RAM so my slowdown shouldn't be THAT drastic. Could someone give me some ideas as to how I can sort this?

Tarabas: Which soundcard do you have?

QuiksilverGBR: Check for updated motherboard drivers. I'm not suprised that onboard sound is causeing a problem...as I have very little faith in onboard sound.

Haz-e: A Geforce 2 TI will get the game to run, but barely playable. You are in dire need of a new card (since yours is three generations old!) to play the latest games.

If I may chip in and agree with CAD, as I used to have a geforce2 ti before I bought my Radeon 9700. As much as I admired this card.....I ditched it, as I knew it wasn't gonna last very long. If you are on the lookout for a new card....go Radeon, I assure you, seems to more stable with PES3 (and for me...call me biased) but gaming in general.

I have got ac97 audio codecs from intel and they appear to work ok but they didnt to start with. I had to update them off the intel website.

are you running the game from the same os you installed the game?
which os are you running it under?
NTFS or FAT file systems?

Your system should at least get it running, might be slow in spots but should run!

How bout defragging the drives? does that help in any way? I do it now and then just to keep my pc running as it should, but can a load of fragmented cause program probs? anyone know.....and if there is a possible link to slow down or not?

I instaled the game on both XP Pro and Win 98 and tried running the game also on both of the operating sistems but its the same problem. I've got the demo and it works fine(on both operating systems), sometimes slow but at least it's running. I've got all the latest drivers. And in the patch information it says that it should fix the bug but it didn't. Thank you very much for the help, and I will be very very thankful if you help me fix this stupid bug.

yes

it is recommended that you make sure your hard drive is defragmented before installing any games that take up some space like PES.

I run O&O Defrag 2-4x a month depending on how active my filesystem has been.

i take it all goals are stored in the save file in the directory...so it would (i think) be possible to send some one that file....if they paste ii in there directory would it show up(hypothetical)...if so..files can be sent in a very small file size...and converted by the person who received it...just a mad thought(would help 56k users)

lmfao...CAD..move this post to the relevent place(videos)...as im a retard and cant read topic titles
