Here are results and solutions to get the game run PERFECT.
I tried the game on different PCs.
Konami might not release a patch to fix anything since there's nothing to fix actually..

The game is PORT of the PS2 version. so you MUST have a decent PC that meets at least the minimum requirements which are:

Intel Pentium III 800MHz or equivalent processor (Athlon/Duron/Celeron)
128 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 3 or ATI Radeon 8500 video card

For PCs lower than P4 2.4 :-
1-Install the game.
2-Set the game resolution 640*480/medium details.
3-Force your refresh rate to 60hz
4-Set Vsync to Always On.
5-Set pes3.exe compatibility to "Windows 98/ME".
6-If you have Geforce MX or FX, use the latest drivers (53.03) set Mipmap detail levet to High performance or Best Performance (thank you hoof)

For 2.4 PCs and higher :-
1-Install the game.
2-Install Konami's offical 1.10.2 patch.
2-Set the game resolution 640*480/high details.
3-Force your refresh rate to 60hz
4-Set Vsync to Always On.
6-If you have Geforce MX or FX, use the latest drivers (53.03) set Mipmap detail levet to High performance or Best Performance (thank you hoof).

-------------------------
So, the patch for 2.4 Proccessors and higher ONLY running under Windows XP..
The game requires a DECENT PC.
There will not be a new patch (I think) since Konami doesn't see the game needs any fixes..

I'll try the game on more systems and edit this post if I discoverd anything new..

Sorry. You are completely wrong. My machine is more than capable of running this game. Still having slowmotion. With Nvidia 52.16 driver the game won´t start at all(many people having this problem). Konami has a responsibility to correct all the problems they have caused to customers.

Well mikko, what's your PC Specs ??
Belive me, Konami will NOT release a new patch.. Anyways..

For XP users..
Set pes3.exe compatibility to "Windows 98/ME"

Well.. The game RUNS perfect on the following PC specs...

P4 2.6, 512 DDR.
nVidia Geforce 4 TI 4200 128
Drivers version:- 6.14.10.5303
The game runs PERFECT even at 12
1280*1024/high details.

I've the same PC but with Radeon9200 128DDR and I can get the game to run PERFECT only at 640*480/high details... I can play with higher resolution with some slowdowns but I prefer to play the game as smooth as the PS2 version. and I'm happy with the game that way anyways..

Once more.. the game MUST be played at refresh rate 60HZ.

No game should be played at 60Hz. On the TV that's acceptable, but you can really notice the flickering on a computer monitor and it is far more likely to damage your eyes than a TV.

My PC meets the recommended requirements... So I should at least be able to play at a high resolution and high details. But even if I switch it to 640x480 and low details it still has the same slow downs that 1024x768 and low details had.

If Konami intend for people to play games on their PC at an ancient resoultion and with a refresh rate that hurts your eyes after 5 minutes then good luck to them with PC games in the future.

Well.. What's ur PC specs. AndrewC ?
Get a geforce 4 ti 4XXX or higher and P4 2.6 and play at the highest resolutions/details with no problems..

Anyways, if you don't like the 60HZ.. then apply the official patch and play at 120HZ if you like.. but the game will not be smooth like in 60HZ..

I really like when Konami ports their PS2 games... I with they could port ALL the games even the same way.. 60hz or whatever, it's better than not playing the game on my PC..

I've got a P4 1.5 Ghz (1.4Ghz is recommended) and a Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB. The demo ran perfectly at 1280x1024 with high details. The full version has similar slow downs at every resoultion from 640x480 to 1024x768 with 1200x1024 slowing down the most. So I play at 1024x768 with low details. The framerate stays at 60 FPS 90% of the time (in window mode) with it dropping to 40-45FPS near the penalty area. I'm really getting used to it now and don't really notice it much anymore. But if there was a way to fix it then I'll be as happy as Larry.

Well, man.. for ur specs..
Just install the game.
Force refresh rate to 60HZ.
VSync Always On.
If you've windows XP set compatibility to (windows 98/ME).
If you've a GIGA-BYTE MAYA then you better get the drivers from www.giga-byte.com
You mayalso try the tweaked drivers www.tweakers.net

Set the game resolution to 640*480 high details...

Well, this should work PERFECT with you, I actually didn't try the game on a processor lower then 1.8 with 256 RDRAMS and radeon 9000 64DDR.

Hey KOC2000,

I'm using a VAIO notebook running at 1.67Ghz, 256MB RAM and GeForce 4 go 16MB VRAM. I haven't got the game yet but do you think the game will run smoothly?

Well.. thank you hoof for the topic.. which is
============================== ================

To resolve the slow motion problem, you can install de latest NVIDIA Driver, wich is 53.03, and then in advance configurations under Direct3d Settings you must change MipMap configuration to Faster. I had it in Mix and I´ve changed it for Faster (the fourth option). Aply the changes, and then go to the executable file, wich is PES3.EXE, properties, compatibilitie and change it so this file could run simulating a Windows 98/ME.

Note: I don´t have the Konami patch installed.

It really solved the problem for me. I have an Athlon XP 2400+, 256 DDR, Nvidia Geforce 4MX, Sound Blaster Live 5.1... I, ve been playing a while with this configuration at 800 x 600 with HIGH Details and all sound settings and it runs great.
============================== ================

Well man.. I've Geforce4 Ti 4200 here and latest drivers (6.14.10.5303)

Mipmap detail:- Best Image Quality and the game works great...

Well, lets say MIPMAP solution is for MX/FX Geforce cards.

Someone else with Geforce 4 Ti tell me please if the game works fine or not with MIPMAP set to Best Image Quality untill I try it on another PC with GF4 Ti myself..

hoof:-
you've got "GeForce 4 go 16MB VRAM"
I didn't know there's a 16MB geforce 4 out there ;) .. anyways, I don't really know if 16MB geforce4 enogh.. but I think it's not capable of running the game anyways, sorry.

I have to disagree with you, KOC2000. Turns out you don't have to get yourself a monster rig to enjoy the game. As I've explained on this forum, the game runs fine on a 1.3 GHz rig with an old Geforce FX once you install the cracked exe file.

KOC2000

Well.. sinman, the cracked exe doesn't have anything to do with game speed anyways..

The news is "I was wrong about Konami will not release a new patch, the DID it" So,

Who tried the patch?
Tell us your results please
I'm downloading but I'm home (56K modem), 30 mins untill downloading complete and I'll tell my results also..

Again... the original version is better than the latest patched one..

The new patch isn't even worth the download time...

It doesn't force the refresh rate to 60hz which makes the game NOT smooth..
It makes more slowdowns in medium/high details at any resolution while you can play high details 640*480 with the original (unpatched) game.

It drops alot of frames, even in the middle of playing field... SLODOWNS are more now..

Just install the game and if you have Windows XP, set "pes.exe" compatibility to "Windows 98/ME" play at resolution 640*480 and high details.. and ENJOY the smoothnes ;)
