WE9 will only work on a Japanese PS2 or a chipped/modded other PS2.
I assume the US version will be out about a year after WE8I was released? When was that?

WE9 will be released in Asia in August. This game will only work on NTSC-Japan or chipped/modified PS2 consoles.

PES5 will be released in Europe/Austrailia in October. This game will only work on PAL or chipped/modified PS2 consoles.

WE9I will be released in North America in Spring 2006. This game will only work on NTSC or chipped/modified PS2 consoles.

Assuming online play goes smoothly in Japan and Europe, WE9I will also have online gaming. All 3 games will be almost identical.

Good question... how much localization needs to be done after the game has already been converted to english? I don't see why they don't just release the english versions at the same time :\ (i'm in Canada)

It's pretty much the exact same game. Although they will update a few of the transfers.

north america is a very small source that soccer is not so popular as asia or europe.
they release very early at the other but about like almost half year for us..
So bad......................................
