Small problem... slimline pstwo and patched game...

Right here goes......

I've got a Slimline PS2 and have fitted the Slim Tools and have Swap Magic 3.6.

I've made an image on my PC using DVD Decrypter, patched it with the Jonboyo patch and have burned it to a DVD+R at 2X speed using a trial version of Alcohol 120%, on my Dell PC.

I tried to play the game this morning and I can get the game to load up but everything takes forever ie: I press X to selct the language then it takes about 2 minutes for the 50/60hz option to come up, then another 2 minutes for it to select the option file etc etc.

Am I right in thinking that as the game has actually managed to load the Slim Tools must be in place correctly, and therefore its the DVD writing thats the problem?

Do you think I should just try and burn another disc and see what happens? Does burning a DVD using DVD Decrypter work or should I keep trying Alcohol 120%?

Any suggestions kindly appreciated :) !!!!

Cheers,
Jordan

Never use DVD+R always DVD-R. I have never got DVD+R to work. Use a good quality DVD-R such as Ritek etc.

As for burning, I always just burn the ISO using Nero (not Nero SmartStart) and I have never had a problem.

I always reset my PC before burning anything and only run the burning program. Try that. And defragmenting your hard disk could help speed things up generally.

Damn, my DVD Writer doesn't recognise DVD-R only DVD+R! Looks like I might need to go shopping!!!!
