So since WE8 is on a DVD now, does that mean they can fit more content into the game?

And not only content but say things like MORE textures and better polygons? I'm curious because it's the PS2 we're talking about it here(take that as you may,but konami knows the system and that's proved time and time again). But i mean i'd imagine they'd be able to fit more stadiums and more graphics like that along with extra unlockables and more kit options along with the more teams that have been mentioned of being put into it already.

They can fit more stadiums, players, teams and almost everything.

They can also fit more textures but as far as the quality - depends on what you mean?

I'm guessing they cannot make better textures (exp, bigger, bump-mapped, etc.), they can make the textures that they got now better. It depends on their the designers and programmers and how they take advantage of what they got to work with.

yeah i'm real curious now after playing WE7:i (US) just how much an already near perfect game can get. I was able to pull off chest passes and damn near anything else I wanted with enough purserverance.

yeah data wise DVD does a big favour compared to CD's, but i think we8/pes4 will be the last installment on the ps2.

Last One? hmmm... I don't know the PS3 won't come out til 2006 and that leaves about a year and a half more of development time towards WE9. Plus how good would it be if WE10 was on the NEXT console PlayStation.

I agree Alberto Tomba, I think they've got another installment left in the PS2 yet.

Don't forget WE7:Int was on DVD, but that had like 6 languages in so the commentary took up loads of space. PES3 was on a normal CD. So Winning Eleven 8 will have so much more because it's on DVD and there is only one language in the game (Japanese - 95% sure of that)

It would be really hard to paly with Swap Magic, if you rip it to a CD. You would HAVE to get breaker pro.
