Welcome back...
Playing as Arsenal looked comfortable against every side I have come up against and looking like after 14 games I can start to think about the possibility of an unbeaten season when along come Spurs to the Emirates and despite aboslutely dominating the game and not letting them out of their half for about 80 mins I lose 1-0. Ah well still 5 points ahead of Chelski and unbeaten away from home.

C'est la vie.

Had any similar experiences ?

it've only been through one season unbeaten in the league out of 7 seasons.. there's once where i faced Mun Utd in the D1 cup after clinching the championship with few games in hand.. went on all-out attacking mode and raining shots after shots on their goal.. it just won't go in and i was caught out by a swift counter-attack by them in extra-time and they scored!!! couldn't find the equaliser and they eventually clinched the cup!!! one of the most one-sided match i've played and not win!!

Used to happen to me all the time when i played with Everton. Come up against Liverpool and lose my unbeaten run! That was before i started making option files for everyone....i'm shit at the game now.

Glad to hear it is not just me. Got back to winning ways at the expense of Chelski at the Bridge. 2-0 (Fabregas "5, Henry "69) 8 points clear and the trophy is on its way to the Emirates I reckon.

I've recently started a new Master League with Everton on 6*. First season i finished 7th, i was 6th on the last day of the season, 1 point ahead of Man Utd and got beat by Newcastle...United won and took the final Champs League spot. Wasn't all bad though, i won the D1 Cup beating Spurs comfortably in the final 3-0, so UEFA Cup football next season. I brought in Maniche, Pedro Mendes and a swap deal for Nacho Novo with McFadden going to Rangers.

Made alot of changes to the squad when the transfer window was open. Got rid of most of my defence....Weir, Stubbs, Nuno Valente, Naysmith and Pistone where all shown the door with Curtis Davies, Glen Johnson, Leighton Baines, Lugano and Edson Braafheid being brought in. A good, young and solid defence was what was needed and that is what has been acquired. Other players brought in during the transfer window where Carlos Ruiz, Jonathan De Guzman and Freddy Adu. Carlsley and a couple of youngsters also left the club in the off-season.

The new season has been a complete turn around for Everton, locked in a two horse title race with Chelsea and UEFA Cup semi-final against Inter Milan, the season is really shaping up for the Goodison faithful. A big title decider against Chelsea finished up with the Londoners suffering a heavy 6-0 defeat away from home with goals coming from Maniche, Cahill, an own goal by Cech and a magnificent hat-trick from AJ.

9 games to go with a 4 point lead, things looked good but an unexpected goal drought hit as I suffered a humiliating 1-0 defeat to rock bottom Wigan staright after the Chelsea game, followed by a 0-0 draw with PSG in the UEFA Cup and then another bore draw against Spurs in the league. Chelsea capitalised on this and won both their games against Charlton and Fulham, therefore edging their noses 1 point in front of me in the league.

I've now got 5 games left in the season with 3 tricky away trips to Fulham, Arsenal & West Ham, home games against Blackburn & Bolton and in between those theres the semi-final with Inter Milan, the other game is Liverpool vs Real Madrid......i'd love to see Liverpool win this one to potentially set up a Merseyside Derby final, mind you i've got to beat Inter first who are leading their league!

The D1 Cup is to be contested between Liverpool and Chelsea this season, i slumped to a dismal 4-2 hammering from Chelsea over 2 legs in this competition, although i hope they go on to win it now!

Sounds good. My kids are dealing with everyone in the cup with particularly impressive cameos from Merida.

Haven't played any European games yet come to think of it.

Walking away with the title.

I need a challenge, playing with Arsenal is too easy.

Fran Merida has signed for Liverpool on my Master League. The Reds have done well over the last 2 seasons, they finished 3rd in the first season and look likely to replicate that position this season, plus they're in the final of the D1 Cup. I doubt they'll make it to the final of the UEFA Cup though, they just got beat 2-1 by Real, my semi final finished 3-1 two goals from Ruiz and one from AJ.

This reminds me of many matches, especially against mates. By gum, the frustration is twice as bad. He's celebrating and you're trying to laugh it off (fake laugh of course) when in fact you just want to stand up and throw the TV out of the window.

That's one way of looking at it, although it's realistic as it happens a lot in reality. Shame but that's the beauty of football I guess. Seems to happen more in the ML though, with the ole' AI cheating, or it at least feels that way anyway.

PES5 is absolute fuckin bullshit at tiomes!!!!! I can twat Chelsea 6-0 yet i can't beat the 2 teams that are in the relegation zone! Jensen for Fulham has just scored a fuckin free kick from 35 yards out in the last minute to give them a 2-1 lead...........cheating fucklin game man!

Which is exactly what real football is like! Fucking hell mate, one minute a team can spank Chelsea, only to get done by a lowly team like Fulham!

Thats what makes PES so good, you cant just steam roller the other teams (unless you play it on 1/2 stars), and occasionally you'll get an upset!

One time when I was doing a ML with Liverpool on 6* I had in game players not them shitty default players was cruising the league ahead by about 12 points then in the cup final it was me and Man Utd, And I couldn't beat them no matter what it wasn't me because I must of reset my ps2 about 6 or 7 times trying to beat them and in the end I just gave up completely. Next time I faced them in the league I pasted them 5-1 with a Bellamy hat-trick a penalty from Alonso and an abosoloute screamer of a free kick from Riise.

I know its frustrating, but thats what real football is like sometimes! a team that is shit hot on paper can still get trounced by the underdogs!

I've lost the league on 6* on the last game of the season two chuffin times in a row now. 1st time i needed a win to make sure of it and lost despite hammering the oppersition for 90 mins at least i won the wefa cup that year tho.

next year on for the trebble spurs score a last minute winner in the D1 cup semmi real madrid score what looks like a last minute consolation goal when i'm playin them at home in the wefa cup semi so the scores 3-1 then on the away leg they win 2-0 despite the fact they only have 2 shots on goal whilst i lay siege to their net with no joy but still looks like i'm goin to win the league as a hammer chelsea 3-0 with three games to go (there the team closest to me). All i need to do is win 1 and draw 1 and the titles mine but no draw against fulham then loose to charlton??? despite yet again beeing on top for all of both matches

thing is tho this dosen't wind me up as it happens irl like the year blackburn won the title united had to beat west ham outplayed them 4 90mins but still couldnt score the winner the other reason its not winding me up is i bought rooney, marradona and cruyf for this season so should win something

Exactly, while its frustrating, it makes it all the better when you do win.

Last night, I lost top spot in the league by drawing at Pompey, who were without their decent players, plus Rooney and Carrick picked up injuries, Rooneys keeping him out for 3 weeks! Next game was Arsenal in the second leg of the d1 cup semi's, 1-1 at old trafford first time around - I beat them in injury time of the second half with an excellent Giggs goal! I was practically jumping out of my chair!

If PES was as easy as FIFA, then when you do win it wouldnt be half as enjoyable

I never restart a match. I enjoy the real football life, winning, draw or losing (this is very rarely happened even on 6*).....that's football..
