Which is exactly what real football is like! Fucking hell mate, one minute a team can spank Chelsea, only to get done by a lowly team like Fulham!

Thats what makes PES so good, you cant just steam roller the other teams (unless you play it on 1/2 stars), and occasionally you'll get an upset!
Oi you fucker! Watch it!

There are only four sides to even beat Chelski since Mourinho took over. Barca, Liverpool and less likely Boro and the Toon.

been thinking about this as i have nothing better to do in life at the moment and i feel pes is quite accurate to real life as far as results go with the exception of arsenal that one time no team ever gose a full season unbeaten so its unrealistic to expect to do it every year in the master league esspecially on 6*. same with the treble man u did it once not every year again so in the 20 plus years i've been watchin football i've seen 1 unbeaten season in the league and 1 treble

also teams dont win the league year in year out even man u at their most dominant in the 90s lost out on the title to blackburn same with liverpool at their most dominant they lost out to forrest villa and everton for the league

i feel the game reflects this well making it more realistic and at times it dose seem like the computers cheeting as the oppositions keeper becomes unpassble their goal line lives a charmed life then your ever consistent captain and center back misses a bread and butter clearance (even though you didnt press the buttons to make him do this) and they score a goal that bounces of the post hits your keepers back then roles

just before i launch the control pad across the room i remember the number of times things like this happen in real football everton beating man u in the 94-95 final despite the fact everton didnt have anywhere near the possetion and chances man u had the time everton spanked bolton 4 90 mins couldnt score then bolton got winner in injury time it happens in real football so it should happen in the game

This is it mate, how many times have you watched your favourite football team, and wanted to launch your remote/pint of beer across the room? thats what makes the game so good, because you get so involved in it, and yeah crazy things happen inexplicably, your players will fuck up when you did nothing to make it happen, but thats exactly like football aint it

It makes it so much better

Very true, i feel quite embarrassed about my rant the other day now
I lost 4 games in that season, 1 coming against a side that got relegated and the other team narrowly escaped the dreaded drop. Thats the great thing about it though, and i doubt you'd see something like this on FIFA!

Yeah that was pretty dosey but as for no side being invincible .... Tell that to Wenger.

I lost again to Spurs, this time in the quaters of the FA Cup 1st leg. I can't see myself scoring 3 without reply at "the Emirates" but if I did it would easily be my performance of the season.

Seems like Spurs are your boogy team mate! Newcastle are the same for me, always have tough games against them, winning or losing by the odd goal. I'm always worried when i go on a little run of winning games and then see their name coming up on the fixture list.

3-2 to Spurs. They scored two flukes early on in rebound city and then added another before in the last 10 mins I decided to make a game of it and nearly saved a ibt of pride.

Nice of the Computer to take my best players off me for International duty as well when I needed them most.

2-0 Win against Wigan stops the slump. Wenger turned to the kids and one kid in particular answered in fine style. If Henry is to move on then no doubt Arsenal lose a great player but there may be an equally great one waiting in the wings if this show was anything to go by. Walcotts blinding pace and mesmorising skill was all too much for Wigan and 2 goals in a minute (9" 10") were enough to put down a hardworking but ultimately lacklustre Wigan.

2-1 away to Pompey but had to hold on late on after they made it interesting with 5 to play.

Good stuff Rafa. I need to get rid of a few players when the mid-season transfer window opens, a fair few players i never play need to be shown the exit door.

The emergence of Anichebe in my 3rd season has been fantastic! He scored a few goals in the previous 2 campaigns but so far he's notched up 8 goals in all competitions, scoring an impressive double in the Champions League against AC Milan at the San Siro....a game which saw Milan take a 4-1 hammering, much to the dismay of the home crowd!

Odemwingie has been a great signing from Lille. He was part of a swap deal which saw Beattie head in the opposite direction. He had a disappointing start, not scoring a single goal in the first 3 games but after being dropped for a few games, he quickly found his shooting boots upon being reintroduced to the starting line-up. Going into week 12 he has now popped in 10 goals in all competitions.

Good luck selling players, they just never seem to go.

Thierry Henry was back to take all 3 points at the expense of Liverpool. His 79" pen was his 13th goal of the season but it was Arsenal new boy Nuri Sahin who walked away with man of the match. Kameni on his first start kept a clean sheet but didn't really have a save to make.

13 goals in 17 games for Henry in the league accounts for nearly 1/3 of Arsenals goals this season (36)

Arsenal now lead Chelski by 5 points and United by a massive 12 points!

I know yeah, i might just release some of the players i don't use, even when you do put them on the tarnsfer list, you get offered shit amounts for them.

What formation do you use for your ML team Rafa? I'm currently using a 2-5-1-2 formation with wing backs, works great aswell. It may sound a bit strange with only 2 at the back but it is a surprisingly solid set up. I've only shipped 5 goals in 13 league games so far and scored 29.

EDIT: This is how i set my team up.

BELIEVE
My Everton ML on WE10 is going well thus far. Both settings on 6-star however I may change the ML Rating down to 4-star as the fatigue is incredibly ridiculous, 1 match is all it takes for my players to die. However I'll keep the actual opposition difficulty rating at 6-star as I simply don't want to make it too easy.

My last match came at home against Birmingham City, and Everton put in a superb performance, quite possibly their finest we will see for a long time. The match ended 6-0 with Andy Johnson sealing a hatrick, he was the substitued soon after in order to keep his fitness level as high as possible, for the returning cup tie against Sunderland the following week.

Chelski are now breathing down my neck and only 3 points behind having taken full advantage of my poor run of results. Title race is much more interesting now. Newcastle up next with a win needed badly!

I'm having a little trouble approaching thoughts on players in a way, the transfer market is right around the corner and I'm yet to think of a string of players to bring in. As you may expect being Everton I would like to introduce realistic targets, the only real player I plan to bring in at this moment in time is Joey Barton.

You got any ideas of realistic targets, I've been having a mental block recently.
