I'm having a little trouble approaching thoughts on players in a way, the transfer market is right around the corner and I'm yet to think of a string of players to bring in. As you may expect being Everton I would like to introduce realistic targets, the only real player I plan to bring in at this moment in time is Joey Barton.

You got any ideas of realistic targets, I've been having a mental block recently.

Everton need a decent left back as Nuno Valente isn't all that great on the game and Naysmith is very poor. I brought in Braafheid from FC Utrecht and he's turned out to be a good little player. Midfield is the key area that needs improving so i'll have a little think for you on that one.

What position ?

I'm 1-0 down to to the toon. Damien Duff, been threatening all game.

1-1 Ljungberg

Sorry for the wait, was reading some sheets for Geology.

Preferably defence, due to a lot of them being quite old. CB's, SB's, you name it.

I'd bring Ball back, out of favour at PSV and knows all about playing for the blues.

Richard Dunne back as well ?

Jagielka ?

Balde ?

Incedently Eveton away - 1-1.

Chelski are now top by one point. I have thrown away a 12 point lead!

1-0 Against Fulham. MOTM Flamini's 81st minute thunderbolt was enough to bring home all the points against Fulham but Chelski also won and it is looking like whoever wins the meeting between the two sides could be crowned champion IF Arsenal can beat there bogey team Spurs.

The title dream is surely gone as relegation strugglers Watford sneak a 1-0 win after 3 clear pens are not given to Arsenal.

Chelski 5 clear

Remaining games for Arsenal:

Spurs (A)
Chelski (H)
Boro (A)

Must win all 3 to stand a chance!

Just suffered my first league defeat of the season, 3-1 away to Rangers! Having had a very impressive first start to the first half of the season....14 wins and 1 draw, i felt confident going into this game straight after the mid-season transfer window had closed, but the players just didn't perform. 7 points ahead of Chelsea before this fixture, but they produced a great performance to beat Boca Juniors 5-0 away from home and drag themselves back into the title race. Rangers jumped up to 7th from 10th thanks to their 3-1 win over me.

Next up.....the 2nd leg of the D1 Cup Quarter Final between Everton and Liverpool. The first leg finished 2-2 at Goodison Park.

Tens minutes into the game it seemed it was not to be Arsenals day and Makelele scoring only his second ever goal for Chelski all but confirmed that after only 11 mins. Arsenal were suddenly shocked into life and through some great work from Adebayor and Henry were awarded a penalty which Henry duly converted. 9 mins later Adebayor scored the goal of the season after MOTM Gilberto Silva won the ball in midfield did his best impression of Ronaldinho skinning two players then played the ball out to Henry who crossed for Adebayor to hit home the sweetest volley you could ever imagine. Chelski got a late consolation from a corner to make the scoreline look more respectable but from the 11th minute on Arsenal dominated this game

Arsenal travel to Boro 2 points behind but with a goal difference of 2 behind (how vital will the consolation prove to be) meaning a win by three goals is what Arsenal need to give themselves a realistic chance at the title.

Chelski have Bolton at home.

To be continued.

Probably the 2 best derby games i've had have come in both legs of that cup tie. I won the 2nd leg at Anfield 3-2. Dirk Kuyt scored a brave equaliser bang on the 70th minute to make it 3-3 on aggregate, which meant Liverpool would go through on away goals.

But just 2 minutes later I was awared a free kick 20 yards out from goal and just to the right of the penalty area, Adriano (not the Inter one) went for goal which deflected off the wall only to fall into a dangerous position in the penalty where Tim Cahill pounced and scored a sublime looking header.

5 minutes later Cahill popped in another after making a great run down the right hand side before pulling the trigger, it should of been a comfortable save for Reina but he somehow managed knock it in off the post despite getting 2 hands on it.

Fowler got a late consolation goal in the 87th minute but it was too little too late for the Reds. Everton go through 5-4 on aggregate to sewt up a semi-final clash with.........................Chelsea! Newcastle v Bolton is the other semi-final, 2 sides i hate playing.
