Welcome back...
Barca 2-3 Arsenal ... a fine exhibition of splendid attacking football with Arsenal edging out the European Champions by virtue of KJH 75' strike. Arsenal twice came from behind before winning at the Camp Nou.

Arsenal 0-1 Barca ... Arsenal completely shut down Barca and gave a masterclass of ball retention. Barca did strike in stoppage time when Samuel Eto'o was sent clear by Ronaldinho to delightfully lift the ball over the oncoming Kameni but due to the away goals rule Arsenal confidently take their place in the European Cup Final for a second year running.

Arsenal fans were ecstatic to hear at the final whistle that they will be facing their rivals Chelski after Chelski beat the Spaniards 2-1 at home and went through 3-2 on agg.

With Arsenal 3 points behind Chelski and 4 to play in the league it really is making for an exciting run in to the season. We now know that with English sides contesting the two European finals (Liverpool v Man United in the Waffa, Liverpool looking for consolation after losing to the unlikely FA Cup winners Newcastle!)

Wenger was quoted as saying "We have no priority every game is as important as the last!"

Welcome back...
Arsenal have for a second consecutive season fallen at the final hurdle in the Champions League. Wenger can again feel rightly proud of his men who gave every fibre of their being but have again faltered when it mattered most.

Arsenal fell behind to a scrappy goal that took 4 attempts before Drogba finally stabbed the ball home from 2 yards. After that it was all Arsenal Shot after shot crashed against post bar or just wide and those that did find the target were met by simply sensational goalkeeping. Arsenals misery deepened when Kameni came out to make a routine clearance only to clear the ball against his own man and then watch as it agonisingly made its way across the line. Arsenal went up about ten gears after that and were rightly rewarded when Oliechs 30 yard drive found its way into Chelskis bottom left hand corner but it was too little too late. There was controversy when twice in the last few minutes Henry was felled by Carvalho (dirty cunt!) and nothing was given.

Arsene Wenger had this to say "I wish that I was not speaking to you in this manner again but this sadly is how it is. I am once again very proud of my players and again feel that we deserved more out of the game. I could not ask for any more from my players."

Anyone who saw the game would surely say that Arsenal deserved to win but alas Chelskis one shot on target some how was enough to win a hard fought contest in which the best side definetly lost.

Jose Mourinho replied: "It is not my problem, you tell me that the best team lost but I say the best team is the one that lifts the cup. As I said we are the special team and if you want to bet me that I will be here next year lifting this cup again then I will bet you .... Shut up Makalele. Now I think it would be best if you go kill yourself as you are not the special one, why are you still here?"

With the title race down to 1 point Arsenal will now be desperate to win their remaining games and hope for favours from the other sides.

Wenger in typical contradictory fashion also said: "The league has been our main focus all season the European Cup is a competition where anyone can win it (funny that you still haven't then eh Arsene).

The Citeh Era ends tonight. Into the FA Cup Final after a 3-2 win over United on Agg (was winning 3-0 from 1st leg at OT)

7 games left and who else but chelski are 4 points above me.

Can it be done?

Will I have another trophyless season or can I say goodbye to PE5 with dignity?

Playing as Arsenal looked comfortable against every side I have come up against and looking like after 14 games I can start to think about the possibility of an unbeaten season when along come Spurs to the Emirates and...
Well, you've got a good imagination, cos the Emirates ain't even in the game. It's still Highbury stadium. What's that about Konami? I wonder if Arsenal's stadium can be swapped for a stadium that looks more like Emirates... ? Is there no option for that either?

On the Update is called the Emirates and they no longer play at Highbury.

Ask Bluescouse what stadium it is he made the file.

Anyway me and my imagination now have an FA Cup final with Chelski the side who are 4 points ahead of me and relentless with 6 to play!

You'll never catch 'em.

Sorry chap, i had no idea you were playing a updated version with a custom file. i thought we were talking about PES6 "vanilla flavour". What platform is the update on? And how Emirates like does it look, can you post screens?

You're probably right but all I can do is try. Just won the FA Cup at their expense so that was some measure of satisfaction. Playing on PS2 it is the most emirates type stadium on the game like.

Defensive masterclass gives City deserved FA Cup triumph!

Manchester City won their first top flight trophy in 30 years today. Chelsea set out in a 4-3-3 with emphasis being to get the ball to Shevchenko and Joe Cole who could find the on form Drogba (Shevchenko also has 16 this season thus far), but City held firm against barrage after barrage and played some wonderful counterattacking football. The first goal came after some neat work by man of the match Joey Barton found Georgious Samaras on the edge of the area he inturn held the ball up for the on rushing Aidan McGeady who was fouled inside the area, the referee had no choice really but to point to the spot. McGeady got up brushed himself off and dispatched the ball low past Petr Cech 1-0 City. Chelsea tried to get back into the game before half time but Manchester City's defense was simply immense, last ditch tackle after tackle thwarted any and every attack from the vociferous Londoners.

Chelsea came out in the second as they had started the first and finally found a way through the City defense when after some tidy work from Joe Cole, Drogba found himself face to face with Isaksson, unluckily for the big Ivory Coast striker the Swede was in top form. Again Shevchenko found his way through but he was denied this time by a fantastic save from City's number one.

74' mins gone and Chelski brought out the speed merchants in Kalou and Robben but they had even less luck than their more experienced counterparts. No sooner had the new men taken to the field than Beasley had run the left channel beating two men and crossed for Samaras to place a diving header into the top right hand corner. The way City had defended it looked as though the game was over and so it proved to be.

The full time whistle was greeted with rapturous applause and ecstatic celebrations from the city end while those 2 or 3 that had bothered to make the trip from London just sat in shock silence crying into their roubles.

A great day out for City fans and no doubt one we will hear about until they win another trophy in another 30 years.

They couldn't do the double, could they?

I just signed Gerrard to my team Manchester United for a transfer cost of 32,000 >.< No I am not kidding, he better perform and not fail me like Rafa Marquez and Ricardo Vaz Te. I think this may be the season I win the WEFA, D1, and League all in the same season. Though I am not quite sure about the WEFA, Barcelona are in top form and have won it two years in a row. Matter of fact, I am not sure about the League aswell since Real Madrid is biting my ass as they are only 1 point behind me and Arsenal are 5 points behind.

My current starting 11 -

------------------GK Ochoa ------------------
--RB Neville ----CB Rio---CB Alex----LB Brown--
----------------DMF Mascherano--------------
-----------------CMF Gerrard-----------------
-----------------AMF Rooney-----------------
--RWF C.Ronaldo---CF F.Torres---LWF Bellion--

In Bench -
Scholes
Pique
Saha
Park Ji Sung
Figo
Isaksson
O'Shea
Fletcher
Silvestre
Kikin Fonseca
Salcido

Rafa, you'll know..

It's a question about the away yellow Arsenal kits on PS2, Does the back of the black collar actually run into the lettering on the back of the shirt? I've noticed from 360 screens it doesn't and is positioned well, however, in a youtube vid i've seen (but can't actually find now) it seems to run into the lettering, and i find that shocking - is this the case?
