A little question:

Would be possible to play only a player for all the match like while all the others are played by the AI?

For example, i would like to play only the Striker for the whole match, is it possible?

P.S. If someone of you remember the choose to play only a player for the whole match was possible on the old Kick Off 2 by Anco (ahh the sweets 90s)

Yes you can. In both WE7 and PES3.

It's generally known as the "Libero Grande" mode after another older game.
In the controller select screen, keep pressing L1 to go to manual and then once more and you are there.
The camera focuses on the ball as before so you have to use the scanner more.
The CPU doesn't pass to you as much as it should.

Do as Zyg says, after manual it comes up 'FIX', I had a go on the Demo, it is alright for something different.

Kick Off 2, pure quality, what about 'player manager' another Dino game, still the best for me!

Dino is a genius, man. I had a go with 'Goal' on the PC last summer and it was great. To tell you the truth, it was probably more enjoyable then FIFA 2002. No, correction, much more enjoyable.

The PC set-up is very hard (digital joystick, 590k free conventional RAM etc.) otherwise I'd still be playing it today.
Until I manage to get it working on the PC, though, I'm still waiting to find that Amiga on a sidewalk.


On Libero Grande mode, it's definitely a good first try but needs improvements. Like a button to force the friendly AI to pass to you regardless of your position. You could choose your passes too. Perhaps /\ for a through ball and so on.

Furthermore, you should be a different outstanding colour on the scanner/radar. I think that would make it much easier to move around the pitch unlike the trial and improvement technique I tend to use sometimes.

Yes, you can be anyone and also you can keep switching the player.

Great ideas from PP there. Hopefully they'll sort stuff like this out in WE8 and PES4. A more refined LG mode!.

but when ur just the keeper can u only use triangle to save.

and the computer does all the dives?

You press square for a certain type of save but I haven't really tried it with a keeper. You have more control than normally though.

I am new in this Forum:

I am Italian, usually i use the Japan team in PES2, but on tournaments i prefer Netherlands or England.
I am not a supporter of a specific team but i like Blackburn Rovers and i edited the Fiorentina in PES2 to be BlackburN Rovers to win the MAster League. My 3 Striker was: R.BAggio, Adriano and Shearer.
