Special curled shot

Some time back I saw somebody speak of some special shots on goal by different famous players like Del Piero, Zidane, ....
I read this shot could only work if you press :L1: + :square: outside the box and with his right foot. So I tried it several times but everytime he just lobs the bal over the goal.
Anyone knows of this or other special moves that aren't in the manual or anything?!
share your knowledge with us then plz ...

yea, holding R2 and Square, will do a powerfull shot, wehn running with the ball. but i thnk your talking about the shot you can only do with del piero. just hold L1 and Sqaure. but dont face the goal, go to the side and do it. so the goal is on your left hand side, if you know what im saying!

Well this move isn't exactly "special" (or useful) but I'll share it anyway...

When the ball is at your feet (it has to be VERY close to you) and you are standing still tap R1 and you will see the ball nudged forward slightly.

Then as qucikly as possible, double-tap L1 then press and hold R2.
The player will do a single leg stepover (without moving forwards) and then trap the ball under the same foot.

This move doesn't do much, but it's just another form of the step over to add to your Cristiano Ronaldo routine when facing up to a defender.
Although this move can be pulled off randomly by rapidly pressing R2 (without the d-pad), I believe this is the only way to pull it off when you want to. Also, when you read this you might think this move will look just like an R2 stepover without using the d-pad, but trust me it looks different.
If the ball is too close or too far away a normal R2 step over causes you to move forward with the ball. By pressing R1 first the ball is the perfect distance away to do a step over and remain relativly still, meaning you won't run into an oncoming defender.

edit: once youve pressed R1, double taping R2 and holding it will do the same thing except the stepover has a wider arc.
