Short Game Review
Game: Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition
Platform: PC
Rating 4/10
The story is entertaining, but I'm afraid it stops there. Movement is quirky, pathing is somewhat bugged several places (you get stuck in nothing and must jump free) and the fighting is far from being fluent. If an opponent starts an attack chain on you, your toon react really slowly to the block function, and once you're thrown to the ground you can risk being punched over and over and keep falling to the ground until you are dead. Some of the force powers you obtain are quite nice, throwing people around with force grip has been a favourite in many Star Wars games and it is still funny. Sound was buggish from time to time on my computer, it may be a local problem but I've never experienced anything similar before this game. A restart of the game fixed it, like every other small bug in the game.
All in all I enjoyed the game, but only because of the story. The "annoying" factor that consist of a compilation of bugs, poor fighting system and retarded AI is the main reason for low score. If you are a Star Wars fan, it's a done deal, you will probably love the story and much of the visuals in the game, but do not expect a blockbuster because it's probably one of the worst technically made Lucas Arts game made in years. It feels a bit like 3d Super Mario Bros with a lightsaber.
