Strange but TRUE . . .

I just happened to play Winning Eleven 2010 in Standard Definition (420p) yesterday. Surprisingly the game seemed to play better. It's more fluid and smooth. Probably the SD meant that I could not see the shortcomings of poor animations.

Have you guys tried it? I know it's a shame that we don't get this in HD but all I want to know is, do you also see this difference?

I found this out a while back.
The gameplay is so much better!

I use my HD cable still, but I adjust my xbox settings to 480p, then I change the dimensions of the screen from widescreen to 4:3. But... Change your tv settings to widescreen so the picture is stretched. The gameplay becomes exactly like the old ps2 versions. I seem to score many more goals from outside the box too. This is a very odd way to improve the gameplay, but it gives the game a whole new lease of life!

Why can't konami address this and have this style of gameplay in 1080p?

Incase you don't already know this... When in the middle of a game, pause, go to screen settings, adjust screen size - you can zoom out a bit further, allowing you to see much more of the pitch.

I have a monitor cable, but the graphics are nearly the same as HD cable 1080p.
Those styles of graphics are the problem. The players look like they're running on jelly, slow gameplay etc.
By reducing the quality of the graphics has helped the gameplay tremendously, it's faster, more responsive and generally better - in my opinion.

Afterall PES's gameplay always sold the game, not the graphics!
