Weird thing I noticed maybe others have as well.... So I play as the same teams offline and online and I know the stats of the players for these teams. When I was playing as OM online I noticed that Gignac has a rating of 81 as a CF. However when I play online his rating is a 79?!?! I dont edit stats so this is strange to me. Has anyone noticed this with other players? For instance what is Gignac rated for you guys offline and offline is it the same or different?

I edited Arsenal's Wilshere because he has an awful low rating, but when I select him online his rating goes back to default. That's the only thing I noticed.

Some players actually have higher rating than their default when playing in different positions. Perhaps that's what you encountered.

Yeah I know all about playing out of position and how that effects the overall average. But I only play Gignac as a CF. I dont know why the stats are different :eek:hmy:

Different stats for offline and online. For online play, there's a default edit mode (stats, players, squads etc) for everyone.

Most likely you're using a patch than modifies some players stats that you're not aware about ... delete your OF and offline and online will be the same (backup first)

I don't think that's the best "solution". Just accept the fact that online stats are different.

Option files are class, and shouldn't be deleted just like that.

Okay guys a lil update seems I've pinpointed the problem but things get stranger :huh: So I wanted to give Gilardino a new hairstyle from a preset. Of course I knew how to do it and was pleased with the end result. But then I noticed that Gilardino's overall stat is now a 79. He originally is an 81 yes I made sure to press triangle and default his stats back to normal but the overall is now different. I went on another profile on my ps3 to see what Gilardino's base stats where wrote them down then went back to my other profile with the different overall. The weird thing was the stats were identical but now they produce a different overall. Wtf?!?!?

I think this has to do with hidden stats that some players have that mean if you base copy a player for a hairstyle, even after defaulting everything the players will then have/not have those hidden stats. It's something I thought may happen which is why I havent used this method for getting hairstyles. Just my thoughts on this I could be wrong

Yeah, it was always in the PS2 games & I see no reason why it hasnt come across to the next gen games. They were boosts to certain players, I cant remember exactly maybe someone else will be able to give a better explanation

Gignac should be rated 81 when assigned the CF role for an online match...

Ok so this was bugging me so I tested what happens to player stats when base copying hairstyles. I used Drogba (CF 95) & Borini (CF 59) of Chelsea. 1st I base copied Borini over Drogba & defaulted everything except the hairstyle & changed the motions maually. After doing this Drogba was rated 93 as a CF then quit the game without saving & did the same in reverse. This gave Borini a rating of 61 as a CF.

So this means Drogba must have some hidden attribute that boosts his overall rating. So maybe base copying players to get a face/hairstyle isnt such a good idea

I think I may know what it is... It could be to do with their age?
The players' stats for master league could be different to other competitions?
Here's my reason for thinking why... For a player like Drogba to still have an overall rating of 95 at the age off 33 means that when playing ML, after he retires he'll be regenerated as a youth player. Therefore being 95 at the age of 33, means that at his peak, he could have an overall rating of over 100, which isn't realistic!

I could be wrong!

If this is the case it should not be a problem when base copying the other way around for hairstyles. What I mean is: when you want for exaple Van Persie with Drogba's hair (would look awesome btw) you have to base copy van persie on drogba, set hair to default then go back and basecopy the new van persie on the old van persie. and don't forget after this set the new van persie totally back to default (to drogba) tis way none of these "hidden stats" are transferred.

I will test this, but I think even that way if Van Persie doesnt have the same hidden attributes then you would still end up with a worse Drogba. Will try later & post up what I find :)

Ok so I tried the example from luukzwaan the players stats didnt change, I also tried this method with the original players (Drogba & Borini) and the stats did change as before, meaning that Van Persie must have hidden stats as well.

To see if it was to do with a players age I tried Drogba & Jason Roberts both 32 rated CF 95/73. After base copying the hairstyles the 2 point difference in overall rating was there again
