I havent been real successful at working the ball through the line to my strikers for straight on goal shots... and most of my outside shots are deflected by the defenders...

my only real success on goal has been to work the ball down the lines and cross for a header... If i do it enough times in a game i can get a goal or two.


it seems like my strikers are never in position for a good pass or shot and so their ratings just havent been great at the end of the games. (5.5 and 6.0 usually)

can someone give me some formation tips and/or playstyle tips to help me get the ball to my strikers more frequently?

Sorry this isnt what you asked for....but whats everyone's highest rating ever? I think Ive had either 8.0/9.0 before, it was one of them and it was with John Carew, IMO the ratings arent accurate at all in the game...

IMO, the key is through passes (direct pass or one two's).
Perform the through pass when you see that your attacker makes a run.
If you initiate a one 2, the first guy will make the run automatically, waiting for the second guy to make the through pass.
In any case, through passes are the key to give good scoring opportunities to your attackers.

i use R2 everytime i pass the ball with a player in the oppononts half.This way i have loads of options and it drags defenders out of position leaving huge gaps for strikers to run into.

got an 8.5 after scoring 4 goals with farfan in my ml he came on at 55 mins in the match and scored em in that little time so i think thats the reason, but i noticed if u bring on a player durin the match they get a shitty rating unless they score which is stupid imo

i've found that bringing on a player in the 75th minute or so and scroing one goal gets them a 7.5. if you miss a bunch of chances, however, his rating will be low.

i once scored six with schevchenko and he only got a 7.0 - to my surprise - i went all out to make him score every time...but there you go.
