Stupid Question About Master League

Okay, I know this is a stupid question, but I'm gonna ask it. After you complete a master league match and it takes you to the screen where you see all your players listed. The ones in yellow have improved and you can highlight them and it will show you how much they have improved. Do you have to highlight them for their stats to improve, or is it simply just showing you how much they have already improved? Thanks.

No you don't, you can skip through it and they will still go up.

Yeah its just so you can view what stats have gone up/down from the past match
