when do u have the stutter? as the ball crosses the goal line? if so, you dont have the full final game, you have the beta.

To get rid of it, turn off the commentary.

No i have the real game from a game shop mate. I aint playing a demo or anything. The stutter occurs every couple of minutes. Any idea?

Possibly your PS2 version then, a tiny amount of people have got it in the final version but doesnt happen very often. Could try changing the CD at the shop...

Or try turning commentary off (should fix it, but why pay for a game when you can't have all the features working?)

Have a go with a CD-lens cleaner in your PS2. And use a hoover on the vents to clear it up a bit.

I've read about this "stutter" thing,
People rekon its "older" versions of PS2s?

well I got a few questions,

Was there ever anything Official about PS2 upgrades?

How many freakin' versions are there?

How old must your PS2 be to be considered an older version?

and can i exchange my "old" version for a "new" version for free?


The whole thing might just be a theory (I dont know) but if its true, then PES3 should say on the box "not compatible with PS2s bought before whenever.

The most simple and probably the quickest way of finding out if it works, would be to remove it from is vertical position. Then try it yourself.

Zygalski why close topics so soon, just coz it does'nt interest you, people should be able to make new threads up if they feels it desires so, its their board aswell.

This stuttering issue is a BIG one my book/ Why would they release such a game with a bug like that on it and from what I can see its not just happening to 1 or 2 people? THATS REALLY POOR FROM KOMANI

I agree totally Chris , I've had the same PS2 since they first came out and the thought of buying a newer version so I can enjoy my favourite game does not appeal to me at all.

It's not like they are labelled with different versions or anything is it ??? what is the difference.....................

the fact remains that the demo had a stutter on it no matter what version your PS2.
Only then people were saying it was because of the cheap CD's that had been used for the DEMO??????????????????theories

I agree RAISH , this is a f*cking massive issue.......

I can't understand what the differences supposedly are with newer/older PS2's as far as their capabilities are concerned. Can't be the quality of the cd's in the full game though as some are fine some are not....

The demo was based on the beta version that was going around. It was the game's programming that caused the stutter in both the demo and beta.

In the final version i havent experienced any stutter whatsoever. Its just weird a few people have done.

I hope it doesn't stutter on my ancient beast ( I mean the PS2 !! ) but even if it does I'll more than likely just buy a new one, at the end of the day I wouldn't use the thing at all if it wasn't for Pro Evo.
