Suddenly struggling with negotiations...

My ML team is currently ranked 8th in the WEFA ranking, yet i find myself having trouble signing any new players that have a 1 or 0 star negotiation difficulty. I have offered them extreme amounts of points (sometimes up to 3x what they are currently earning) to no avail, and i have also changed the game difficulty to 1 star to help, but it is not helping.

Previously, i have managed to sign players such as Gerrard who were on 0 star negotiation difficulty, yet now (at the end of the third season) i can't seem to sign anybody. Any suggestions?

I have tried trading players as well, i offered Diesler a trade for Minanda (worth roughly 7000 points), plus an extra 23000 (bringing the total up to a clean 30000), plus a salary of 3000 points. He still did not come! It's so frustrating!! I am currently 8th in the WEFA ranking, I won the league by a huge margin (after winning all but 2 games), and also won the D1 cup and the WEFA championships. I don't get it why good players refuse to sign!

i get this problem and its really frustrating!!!! i am coming up to the top 5 WEFA ranking and still no luck!!!
